Steemians worldwide, I salute you all. Thanks this wonderful community for putting up a challenge as this. Come with me as I share my little thoughts about this topic. Let’s Read😊.
Election is a legal system of choosing someone to represent in government by voting. This system allows individuals who are of age, with no criminal record to be able to elect one representative for each state or constitution and they can also change them whenever they want. Elections are carried out occasionally and once someone is elected, he or she can stay in power just for that period of time and another election will then be carried out.
What do you think about Elections in your country:
Normally election in most countries are carried out on a national level and not international which is a good thing because the occupants of a country know to some extent the officials they dealing with and know who is fit for an office. I think elections in my country (Cameroon) is democratic which is a good thing because it allows for everyone to be involved in decision making and having right to vote for who they think is fit for a government office.
What do you think about the electoral system in your country?
An Electoral system is a set of instructions that govern how elections are to be conducted and decide on the results. These instructions include deciding on the following: when an election is to take place, who can take part in the voting, who is a candidate, how votes are casted, counted and many other factors that can influence the results.
My country’s electoral system possesses all of this soo I can say it is unprejudiced.
How is it done in your country?
Firstly a decree is passed, So that every state or town is aware that an election is going to happen and on the specified date. Afterwards the various parties chooses who will run as a representative of their party. The candidates organizes their parties and they go about doing their campaigns. Citizens eligible for voting get themselves registered. Then on the day of the elections, those involved meet at the various voting institutions in their various towns and voting is conducted.

Is it transparent and fair in your country..?
There is always this political tension during elections since every party wants to win and this has led to a lot of conflict and violence among candidates and even members of different party groups. The fact that every candidate wants to win has caused most of them to get into a lot of election malpractices. Due to all this my country (Cameroon) trained some people who during the voting, counting and reporting of results they are there to observe and ensure a peaceful, transparent and fair elections.
Assume there's no fairness and effectiveness as far as elections are concerned, what solutions can you propose to ensure its being carried out the right way.
The only solution I can think of is that maybe trusted someone can be made to move by with those going to vote to ensure that you are voting just once and that they are doing it as per the rules.
To conclude I will like to say members of the electoral board should be very watchful in-order to prevail over their limitations.
Special invite to @newtonb @wase1234 and @dipara to participate in this contest.
Nice entry here, atleast in your country the conflict is just between political parties.
And something can still be done to regulate the electoral problems, it's fair enough then. Because if good measures are put in place, it will go smoothly.
I wish you well I. Your contest entry.
Definitely. Thank you 🙏
