Hello steemians how y’all doing, hope you all are good. My phone has started it’s wahala again but I am keeping the Christmas spirit of positivity. The phone won’t break down in Jesus name!
Seeing the Christmas spirit around and how much the kids are anticipating it, it inspired me to write a post about growing up.

In the light of the Christmas spirit I just noticed that growing up takes away and gives us a lot.
Growing up entails;

• Letting things go

Now as Christmas is on we can see for ourselves all the things we can no longer do because we are now adults. We have more mature wants, no more dresses and shoes but rather the urge to be with family.
Not just that, we also have to take a step behind so as to make the young ones feel more comfortable.
Even if we are still in school sometimes we find it hard to ask for money because we feel like we are old enough to take care of ourselves.

• Manage Regrets and Identify mistakes

Growing up comes alongside making mistakes. In the process of growing and discovering ourselves, mistakes are almost inevitable. Also making too many mistakes may lead to tons of regrets.
It now falls on our moral consciousness to limit the amount of mistakes we make and the after regrets.
We have to be strong mentally to overcome this particular point because the pressure from the society can be overwhelming.

• Providing for ourselves

This is one of the biggest questions and struggles I think everyone faces. We all have that point where life gets so hard that we ask ourselves if we will be able to provide for ourselves. Sometimes our small jobs get so stressful that we just want to give up and run back home but we just can’t let those old expecting faces down. Thank God for steemit that has found a way for people to make money free of charge.

• Expectations

Growing up you learn that you start expecting less and less from the people around you. Mainly because most people will let you down. It gets better when you start realizing that no one owes you anything. Everyone is dealing with something. The person you should be expecting more from is yourself. Compete with yourself and makes yourself better.

new life

Growing up isn’t easy at all. Everyone’s perspective about life is according to the events that shaped their life and how they live it. My points are a reflection of my life.
