Steem Cameroon Best day contest 23/07/2021
Hello my fellow steemians, it is with great pleasure that I share with you my best day of the week.
Last week I had of my best days seeing as I experienced so many beautiful things, with some being a visit from my childhood friend whom I had not seen for more than 14 years and we met on Facebook and reconnected while he was in Ghana few months he came back to Cameroon, came to Bamenda and paid me a surprise visit it was a great day.
Also another friend of mine had her birthday and we had a huge birthday party with her. So I can safely say that last week was a remarkable day but out of all these days I'd say my best day was Sunday the 18th of July 2021.
This day stood out for me out of all the beautyiful days I experienced, This Sunday was the 3rd Sunday of the month and every 3rd Sunday of the month we routinely have our family meeting and this time around it was my mother's turn to host thee family and this entailed lots of preparation as we had to make enough food for everyone.
The first thing that made this day special was that I went to church after nit being able to go to church for 3 weeks, it felt good being in the house and the Lord, immediately I got back my mom and I got busy with preparations for the family meeting and by midday we were done, every was set for the meeting.
some hours later the meeting started and people started to our greatest surprise so many people came for this particular meeting, the number was almost triple the usual number, we had so many family members who had not been part of the meeting that showed up, most of them being those who were out of town, it was a great feeling connecting with family we hadn't seen for a long time, and even met some for my very first time.
The meeting went on very nicely and was very interesting because we settled so many family disputes as so many people who had grievances aired them and made peace with each other, it was so wonderful as this day brought reconciliation to so many people and peace to the entire family.
After all this it was feast time, we all had so much to eat, especially delicious fufu and kahti kahti.
