"No Publicity is Bad Publicity"- 19/04/2023

INTRODUCTION

Permit me to start by sharing this little story;
Anyone around my community and beyond knows of a young man named...well no one actually knows his name, as he is popularly called ette burger (meaning father burger). With a small round face and very big mouth that has a bushy mouthstache that connects to his beards, giving him a very comical look. He dresses in baggy trousers, tight Polo's and crocs so huge that a slight misstep could cause a potential disaster..But even with that he walks so briskly as if he is trying to save a kitten from a fire outbreak. All this seems to make him stand out....However, even with his comical looks he does not take his goods back home as they are always bought. Breaking ice cold silence and visiting no noise areas seem to be his knack as several warnings won't deter him from disturbing people. Whenever he arrives with his burgers neatly arranged in a little overtly fancied showglass gallantly balanced on his shiny bald head he makes his presence known with his loud brisk walking steps, jangling keys and cries of Father burger is here, kids laugh the adults smile while he gets his huge patronage.

Publicity in simple terms means making something known. It involves promotion of one's self, goods, service and brand name. We have different means of publicity starting from sharing from the word of the mouth and actions to publications on TVs and newspapers.
Publicity makes something known to the general public.

NO PUBLICITY IS BAD PUBLICITY

Publicity involves making something known. Different ways can be used to make something known whether good or bad. When a product is made known it sure attract sales, promotions and benefits. So whenever a publicity is made, no matter how messy it is, sure gets attention.

IMPACT OF PUBLCITY

The impacts of publicity are so numerous however here's a few;

• Publicity helps in building up a business, firm, career, brandname or platform.
• Fame is gotten via publicity, hence It is the building block to success.
• publicity helps to let the world know who you are, your principles, your ethics and how outstanding you are compared to others.
• publicity gives room for improvement, as every good publicity yields feed back which helps to identify the company strengths and weaknesses.
• publicity gives you an edge over your competitors and rivals.

MY PUBLICITY EXPERIENCE

bring part of a publicity team is fun. I remember vividly the 12th February of this year when I embarked on a publicity march with my teammates. We belong to a computer shop and we were planning to organise a computer training for students during thier Easter holiday. We visited schools around our environs, talked with their principals. I remember me and my team was given an opportunity in one school, to speak about our intentions. I and my team gave out our offer and promoted our brand, while publicising our intentions and currently we have 3 participants in our training programme. It was indeed an evergreen experience.

PUBLICIZING STEEMIT

Steemit is a wonderful platform and is worth publicizing. Here are my plans for promoting/publicizing Steemit;

• Posting quality contents: people want to know more and there's no better source than a good writeup about what the need to know on a reliable and easy to access platform.
• Creating wonderful designs about Steemit and Sharing it on other social media platform: Using my skill as a graphic designer, enticing people with image is one of my plans for steemit .
• Via Actions and Active Communication:wearing a customized polo with the steemit logo, my username and a catchy phrase is sure to elicit positive response from the teeming populace who seeks ways to expand their horizons daily.

Conclusion

What is worth doing is worth doing well....this is one of my mother's favourite quotes. Steemit is a wonderful investment for the future why not let more people know about it.
