World Day to Combat Desertification and Drought, 17th June 2022 | "Rising up from drought together"

The Regional Delegation of Environment, Protection of Nature and Sustainable Development (MINEPDED) for the North West Region in collaboration with The Greens, CIRMAD, CEPOW, Y’G Inc. CAMGEW, etc is organizing a Desertification and Drought Day Quiz as part of her activities to commemorate this year’s Desertification and Drought Day in the North West Region of Cameroon under the theme "Rising up from drought together"

The Quiz is for Primary Pupils, Secondary and High School Students as well as University Students.

Date: Friday 17th June 2022
Time: 09:00 AM
Venue: Conference Hall of the Regional Delegation of Environment, Protection of Nature and Sustainable Development, Up Station Bamenda
Quiz is for Primary pupils, Secondary and High school students as well as University students.

Prizes: Certificate of Participation shall be awarded to all participants, Cash Prizes, Grafted Fruit Trees, and Books.
Transport will be given to all participants.

Other activities to commemorate the Desertification and Drought Day in the North West Region include;

1. Radio Sensitization with CRTV's Morning Highlands Show. Due to insecurity, the Radio Program Recording shall take place on Wednesday 15th June at 11:00 AM at CRTV.
2. Sensitization walk from the Regional Delegation to Bamenda 1 Motor Park/Market on Friday, June 17, 2022, at 11:00 AM. There shall be animations, presentations, and speeches to raise awareness about Desertification and Drought in the North West Region of Cameroon.
3. Tree planting at Government Primary School Up Station on Friday, June 17, 2022, at 13:00.
