Steem greetings,
For some time now, I have noticed that a lot of Steemians and especially in my community are misusing the club tags.
It’s very common to find Steemians starting the title of their posts with #club5050, #club75, or #club100 meanwhile the post has nothing to do with powering up 50%, 75%, or 100% of their earnings.
It’s very wrong to write a #DiaryGame post narrating how you spent your day, and ending the day without powering up but using the #club tag.

#Club tags are only supposed to be used when a Steemian has powered up and he/she is writing his/her power-up post or when a steemian has powered up and he/she hasn’t written a power-up post but have decided to talk about his/her power-up in his diary game post or another post.

I am hereby appealing to all Steemians of to stop using the tags wrongly. Besides, it's also wrong to title a post [#club5050] The Diary Game or Club5050 The Tale of the Magical Twins.

Blogging on Steemit is blogging for the web, meaning you are writing for the world and not for Steemians. People who surf the web are searching for quality content to read and when you title or tag your post wrongly, it reduces the chances of your post being found.
I will be publishing another post on Titling and Tagging in the days ahead.

Let’s stop misusing the #Club tags.

That means the tags should only be used when we powered up our account.
If I may ask sir @thegreens

Yes. If you power up and you make a power-up post or you power up and do not make a power-up post but talk about your power-up in your normal post which could be a diary game post

Okay I understand better thanks

This means tags should be used only when they are posting something in relation to Power up.

Perfect!

From my understanding, we are obligated to attach the club we are in, so that we receive encouragements from curator01 and curator02 accounts.
And it is said on many occasion that the club5050 tag can be used if we are in the club, not if we are making a power up.

Please clarify this for us once more. Because not mentioning the club makes it had to get the rewards from the curating accounts.

What keeps you in the club is the power-ups and not the tag. For instance, i can hold steem and do not power-up but if you verify my account, you will realize that i am an eligible Club member and in this case, i am not eligible for the upvotes.

Holding steem in account is different. I am saying all this because to the best of my knowledge, and from research in other communities all over steemit, these hashtags are what enables and ease the check before the upvotes are given. I don't know how you see it sir, but someone like me, i am in club75 and that is required in my hashtags as said by the curation team.
All communities do these and get massive support on booming votes. Their accounts are checked and curators 01 and 02 visit these posts, especially diary posts even.
Please reconsider this rule in the community, we might fall short of extra supports.

Unless this was condemned by the curation team?
Let's reason this out since it will have effect in the community🙏🏻

The upvotes are not given because you used the tag. They are given because you powered up and not because you used the tag.
This isn't a rule. I am only advising you to be a better Steemian so that when you use the tag, you will get the view you're searching for.

By misusing the tag, you even make work more difficult for the curation team and that's why most posts have been abandoned because the tag is trending, but power ups are not trending.

If we all used that tag only when we powered up, we all will get upvotes from the curation team because searching club posts will be easier for the curation team.

Steemcurator01 and 02 will not bother to go searching through all accounts when the tags aren't there, especially when they want to reward club members. Only the lucky few with these tags will be checked and rewarded.

For the holding of steem, i understand the issue perfectly. But these warning best suits club100 members who still hold steem, because it means they still haven't powered up everything

All i am saying is, these clubs are very necessary to ease and narrow down the searches. And what we should be emphasizing on, is the right use of these tags. Posts that are wrongly tagged club5050 or club75 that these users don't belong in, can be penalized, so as to enforce some level of orderliness

Thank you

Find time to review how the Club tags started and the rules.

Good you write this because I was about writing a post on wrong use of tags especially club5050, 75, 100. Most Cameroonian steemians just use the tags as if its to add content on your post which has consequences but we are not aware of. I remember one time when the club status started and I used it wrongly, steemcurator01 visited my post with a comment which since then I have not use the tag if I’m not a member of that status. That said, the club50, 75,&100 status is not to be use only on power up post. You can use it on any content so far as you are a member. At times it’s from the club50, 75,100 that they support content.
