Good morning, everyone.

Yesterday was an amazing day for me. I started my day by having a refreshing bath, I had a hearty breakfast of achobo puff puff, and beans, and then headed to work.

At work, I began researching the role of food insecurity in mental health. Later in the day, my baby sister came over to see where I work.

She stayed for a while before heading back home. I continued my day by delving into Dr. Myles Monroe's teachings on maximizing one's potential.

Dr. Monroe emphasized that fear is a significant factor that keeps many people bound. He referenced Ann Landers, a newspaper counselor who receives an average of 10,000 letters each month, many of which express issues related to fear. Dr. Monroe mentioned that many great men and women with tremendous potential are afraid of life itself. He cited King Solomon from Proverbs 29:25, who described fear as a snare that traps many, but those who trust in the Lord will be safe. Fear can entrap you and keep you bound.

Dr. Monroe also noted that deciding to follow one's destiny is not a one-day journey; it is a step-by-step process. If you don't take a step, you won't know what lies beyond it. He likened a man's life to an onion, with his potential being released one layer at a time until all he is, is known by everyone.

One of the reasons why so many youths die young while pursuing wealth is that they seek immediate riches that require years of consistent effort, idea development, building, and capacity enhancement. These achievements come in stages and are revealed as different layers of potential unfold.

Dr. Monroe also discussed the concept of retirement as a trap that can prevent the release of one's full potential. He cited Pablo Casals, a cellist who, at the age of 85, continued to practice five hours a day. When asked why he kept practicing, Casals replied, Because I think I'm getting better.

At this age, many people shut down, limiting their expression of passion due to personal comfort. However, even at an advanced age, there is always something to offer. Dr. Monroe pointed out that the tomb of an extraordinary person is the ordinary. This means that being called extraordinary results from dying ordinary by emptying all that is within you.It also means that many extraordinary people die ordinary because they follow the normal life and never empty their potential.

Going through this portion of the book, I reflected over things and opportunities that passed me by because of fear? What about you? Is there something fear is holding you back from doing? What about that school you wanted to enroll in? What about the company/firm you wanted to start? The business too
How can this fear be conquered?
Lets think about it and move out of that spot

I had an amazing day.
