WHAT IS YOUR UNDERSTANDING OF TOXIC RELATIONSHIPS, GIVE SOME EXAMPLES.

A toxic relationship is a relationship in which both parties feel insecure being around each other, as the tendency to exhibit negative actions towards each other, such as disrespect, dishonesty, or lack of trust and control behaviors. This sometimes results in destructive actions, as such victims feel misunderstood, and attacked each time he's wrong as the conversation may be Toxic relationships sometimes lead to serious injuries or scars which could be emotional, physical, or psychological.

Examples of Toxic Relationships

**Relationship with oppression, (Criticism)= this is when partners pass judgment flawlessly on each other with constant blaming and too many complaints and corrections, it leads to serious issues.

**Relationship with a kiss and tell,(exposure of secrets)=when partners open secret talk to people outside, this might not only be an ordinary discussion but about sexual interaction.

**Relationship with controls =this is when the other partner has total control of everything in the relationship which includes what to do, where to go, whom to talk to, and when to spend even at a crucial stage as the case may be.

HAVE YOU OR ANY CLOSE FRIEND EVER BEEN IN A TOXIC RELATIONSHIP, SHARE YOUR EXPERIENCES.

Yes, this is actually about my tutor, about four years ago, my mum assigned him to take me on extra- lessons after school, and the actual venue for the lesson was my house, so he pleaded with my mum to have a private lesson with me throughout the week which held in his house.

Though he stays together with his girlfriend, on a faithful Thursday evening in his house, while he was teaching me, his girlfriend came and started shouting because he didn't wash the dis he ate with, he tried pleading with her but she insisted he washes the dish and stood on his way, he pushed her on the bed to have his passage and she fell.

She rose and use a bucket in his face, he bleed that evening and was rushed to the nearest clinic, as love could be she paid all the bills herself, it was kinda funny to me though because I thought she didn't care about him but it was because of anger that leads to the action, I went home afterward and never agreed to come to his place for lesson anytime his girlfriend was around.

WHAT ARE SOME COPING STRATEGIES FOR VICTIMS OF A TOXIC RELATIONSHIP

To avoid problems always say sorry even when the fault is not yours, it will help a lot, Sorry is a powerful magic word, it's easily considered in such a conditions

Seek professional advice this will help you manage your feelings, control your emotions, and do things that make you happy, like reading, watching a movie, or relaxing.

Open up and seek a break, prevention sometimes is better than cure, leave it before it kills you, and politely talk to your partner so he or she can understand what you are facing.

Think outside the box, chase your goals, and keep toxicity out of your mind.

AS A COUNSELLOR, WHAT ADVICE WILL YOU GIVE VICTIMS OF A TOXIC RELATIONSHIP

**Victims should seek professional assistance to on respecting each other decision-making in the relationship

**Make sure you are mature enough emotionally, physically, and psychologically before going on date with someone to avoid childish behavior toward each other

**Always open up to each other about likes and dislikes, as sometimes little things tend to hurt more than what we presume to be big
