Steem Cameroon Contest - My Short Movie Script: Witchcraft (Animal Ghost)

Good day fellow steemians in STEEM CAMEROON Community. Today I'm participating in yet another amazing contest all thanks to @steem-cameroon for hosting this wonderful contest. Take your time and read through my entry post and Good luck to you as well.

Well if I am asked, I'd simply say witchcraft is the ability of someone to possesse powers which they use to do evil things. This has been my mentality since childhood and I haven't seen any reason to change it. Although, this may not be true but this is the way I understand the word "Witchcraft".

I have never seen a ghost before and I believe they were never meant to be seen by normal humans but YES, I believe in ghosts and I think they do exist.

About the characters

Once upon a time, Audu and his three friends Emma, Daniel and Isah grew up together as very good friends who were so close to themselves that they all eat from the same plate. They lived in a peculiar village called umuahia.

The four friends tripped over an abandoned, old house on a very beautiful Saturday morning which was believed by the villagers to be haunted. They were so fascinated by the legends of ghosts and witchcraft surrounding the mansion so they decided to visit the house on a moonlight night

They arrived as planned, things didn't look as fine as the air became heavy and thick with a ghostly presence as they began to enter the house. Their whispers began to echo and objects on the floor started moving untouched and while looking around the old house, Daniel sighted a little dog, not a usual dog but a ghost who disappears and appears, phases through the wall and makes strange sounds. The boys got to realize that the old house once belonged to Namida, a long time banished powerful witch for her dark magics.

While they were trying to get familiar with the ghostly experiences, the boys noticed that Bingo disappeared and appeared back with an old rough spellbook which inside contains the key to breaking the course plunked on the witch. The ghostly experience escalates, testing the strength of their friendship and courage as they decrypt the pages of the book one after the other. Unfortunately, the boys never knew that the spirit of the witch still loiters around seeking her freedom and probably revenge.

Emma then summoned the courage to speak with the dog but it never responded rather it began to point its tails at some angles and parts of the house where the boys got to know and gather more information about the old mansion and what it contains.

The four friends were so committed that they planned to perform the ancient ritual with the needed ingredients which they began to look out for immediately with Bingo leading the way. Along their way in search of these ingredients, they came across many supernatural beings that challenged their fathom, these beings being both malicious and obliging.

They came back to the old mansion and began the ritual as planned. The mansion became very thick in air, Bingo began to bark so loud and it was a massive battle between the forces of darkness and light as the boys were close to completing the ancient ritual. The fate of the umuahia town and their own lives were hanging in the balance as the spirit of the witch was becoming stronger and was desperate to stop the boys.

Isah kept motivating and reminding his friends why they need to bid the courage and strength to confront the grudge-bearing witch because they were tempted to face their deepest fears. But then the ghostly dog didn't allow them, Daniel tried to chase it away but it kept disappearing and appearing. They failed to perform the rituals because the ghostly dog collects the calabash from Emma in the air.

The boys were now more scared of bingo but Isah kept motivating them so they summoned the courage to try again but guess what, they still failed. Now for the third time, the boys knew what they wanted so now they need to work harder to attain their goal. They began the ritual for the third time and bingo kept fighting with them but this time they didn't allow the calabash to move away in the air and they managed to break the curse, sending Bingo into vanishing air and banishing the witch's spirit forever with their firmly standing friendship and powers combined as the sun sets.

At the break of dawn, knowing that their resilience and bravery had saved their beloved town from the clutches of darkness, the boys returned to Umuahia town as heroes. They emerged victorious, the ghostly presence disappeared forever as the mansion remained silent.

This is in the face of ghosts and witchcraft, a triumph of light over darkness. As a result of their friendship, the legend of the haunted mansion fades into memory. This is also a testament to what powerful friendship does. Thanks for your time spent reading through my post and I wish you good luck.
