Ok we actually do child protection in emergency( CPiE). We have a Child Friendly Space( CFS). In the cfs we gather children through sensitization . We give them psychosocial support . Psychosocial support in simple terms is any advice that you give to any survivor of abuse which serves as first aid. A survivor of abuse could be child that has experienced maltreatment , rape, sexual harassment , exploitation, female genital mutilation, breast ironing just to name a few. We also animate the children to make them feel happy , we do life skill with them like cookery , hair dressing , gardening ,beads work etc. We also help them to acquire knowledge on menstrual health management( MHM), sexual and reproductive health rights(SRHRs), children's rights . We also identify cases in the community and report them to the Social worker for follow up. It should be noted that PLAN initiated this program under the SIDA project because of the crisis in the NW and SW.
