CLUB100 // The Diary Game 3: Betterlife with Steem (29/01/2023) Hope Dey Live Music Concert

One of the Sundays i have been waiting for since the start of this year... as i was invited by a very good friend of mine to come play the saxophone in a live musical concert. Even thou i finally back out along the way during rehearsals as rehearsal sessions usually clash with my school work, i couldn't afford to miss the show for anything.

Early Sunday morning when i got up from bed, first thing i did was preparing for church... got up really late as compare to other Sundays as i guess all this was due to stress from the previous day. I woke up by 7am, whereas church service starts at 8am. I was confused how i will do all my morning routines and still be in church on time. Before i could do my morning devotion, make my bed up, had my bath and dressed up, it was already 8am. I was forced to leave the house without eating. Left the house, took a taxi straight to church and take goodness for no traffic as i got to church by 8:30, even thou 30 minutes late, thats the normal time taken to reach from where i stay.

Apparently i was the last musician to be in church, and end playing both the saxophone and bass guitar as the guy who plays the bass guitar didn't come to church. So during praise, i will be on the bass guitar and during worship, i will be with my saxophone,

Even though i went late to church, i still didn't finish church service as i had a birthday party to go animate at 11am. After the pastors message, i immediately left church and went for the birthday as the people were already ringing my phone while in church asking me to come.

I left church halfway, only to get there while they were still doing some decorations.. and set ups. I was very angry and not happy because of the way they pressured me whereas they were not ready. I had to wait there from that time to about 2pm when the birthday party finally began.

At the end, i told them how i was very unhappy with their level for punctuality and all they could say is there were scared i won't come and they didn't want to take any chances.

I left the place by 2 pm, went to @fombae house to meet him so we could go for the HOPE DEY concert later on. When i got to his house, i met only his wife and children while he had gone to the concert ground as he was part of the organization team.

Upon his return, and after having his bath, we all left for the program with his wife and kids.

The program had to start by 2pm as on the flyer but end up starting by 5pm. The live band was amazing, and that was a team i had to be part but now i was watching them making magic on stage.

Program had renounced artist from Bamenda city and neighboring cities. The number of people who attended was also amazing as it has been long i saw such population in a musical concert especially here in bamenda.

I didn't finish the concert, which is something i still regret up to this moment. I had to go home by 9pm as i really stay far and that was for my own security. I couldn't sleep around because the next day is a ghost town and i am starting exams immediately after.

Left the place, and got home by 9:30pm, refreshing up and went to bed as i called it a day.
