When we sat down( myself @saxopedia @fombae and @njiatanga) to discuss about the creation of Cameroon community on steem, we had some ambitious goals in mind which included the 3 R's(Recruitment, Retention & Rewards). We wanted to build a place where the community could feel at home. We wanted all Cameroon steemians to know that they're important and that we care as well as the entire steemit team. We also wanted them to be able to connect and learn from each other.

This will indeed be a huge step for us bringing all Cameroon steemians all over steemit in here as well as recruiting new Cameroon steemians in and out of the country but we are very optimistic that we will get there. After all, "ROME WAS NOT BUILT IN A DAY".

Having said all this, i am happy to announce to you and the entire steem community as at now, the latest community on the steem blockchain #STEEM CAMEROON created by @saxopedia (cheers).

The real value of building a community can not be over emphasized as it brings together people who have a common interest or goal and the quality of a community is often dictated by the degree of engagement and happiness individuals can draw from community interactions.

Once the community would have grown to the point where we have a number of committed members, that will probably be the best time to start thinking about a come together.

COMMUNITY GOALS

Positive communities are groups that inspire their members in ways that promote a sense of self-descovery and group connection, encourage members to express their beliefs and values and build relationships with others. So i am happy to say we shall be having contest weekly to inspire us and all those who shall be part of it so as to also promote sense of self-descovery among our selfs. Cheers....

• There are great ideas in the pipeline for 3 R's(Recruitment, Retention & Rewards). Contest which shall create the awareness of steemit.

• Collect Analysis and Feedback. This will include reports about the community and its members.

• Educate None Steemians, Existing Steemians and Active Steemians: When people learn what steem is all about, how to make the most out of it, they tend to be much more engaged. We won't get far if people have no idea what steemit is all about and how to effectively utilize the platform.
