Effects of the Anglophone crisis and a way out through my solution

Conventional wisdom has it that, every citizen of a nation should have equal rights and offered the same opportunity irrespective of their socio-economic background. Unfortunately in Cameroon, this is not the case. By the start of the post-colonial era, Cameroonians clearly developed a sense of racial identity by separating themselves into two major categories: francophone and anglophone- with the anglophones being marginalized by the francophones due to their small population.
In November, 2016, anglophone teachers and lawyers initiated a strike to fight against this marginalization. This strike has led to the death of over five thousand people already. Students are being abducted and tortured if caught going to school, businesses have drastically been hampered, houses are being burnt down on a daily basis in my region, youths are being extorted and young girls are sexually abused on a daily basis.
My heart bleeds witnessing this situation and I'm driven by my believe to tailor local solutions to this problem through youth and community-led engagements. To attain this, I envision creating a conducive environment characterized by equal representation of race, gender, religions, age groups and more with a sole aim to promote peace during this crisis times.
