Greetings my fellow bloggers. Another day has come for me to share a post with you all. So this is how my day yesterday went about.

Thursday 05th of May 2022

On this day, I was woken up by my mother who asked me to help her peel cocoyams so that she can pound achu. So I left the bed, checked my notifications so that I don't miss anything urgent, then did my morning routine and went to help her.

I peeled while she pounded and in no time, I was done peeling and she just had to mix the achu. I then went to put the canda on the gas to boil.

Since I woke up late, before I could realise it, it was already 11:00 am. My mother urged me to hurry and go and bathe so that I can be in school early. We had a meeting with our HOD who was also our project supervisor. So I hurried to take my bath and iron my clothes. Then I dressed up and left home.

At school, I met my other mates in my group and together we waited for the HOD to come. When he finally came, we went into his office and we started discussing about the project. This was the first time we had been able to meet with him. And after his explanations, I was all to even understand the project a bit better.

He also read to us a few samples of stochastic modelling articles so we could pick something from it to help us. After this, since he is also our HOD, he dealt with some problems of marks as the computer had taken off zeros behind the marks of others.

When we were finally done, I left campus. I took a taxi from Bambili and went home in order to change. Reason being that people in the taxi sweated on my white trouser when they kept rubbing their hands on me. I really don't like sitting with so many in a tight spot.

When I changed, I took a bike to Fonab Junction where I had to meet with @chiabertrand. He was already there waiting for me by the time I got there. We greeted each other; it was my first time seeing him despite having known him for more than 6 months.

We then took a taxi to Commercial where we dropped at around Vatican at a small place known as Romz. We took a few pictures before we entered and since I am not a huge fan of taking pictures, there were just few.

When we got in, we selected a booth and sat down. The waitress gave us menus and we took our time to select what we wanted. Can you imagine that when the waitress had to take our order, apparently there was no pastry available? No shawarma, no burger, no sandwich and not even cupcakes.

I was greatly saddened by this because I had not eaten since morning. I was now forced to change my order to cookies and cream. Bertrand also got the same thing. When we were served, I started eating immediately. I was really starving you know.

As we ate, we spoke about everything and anything. From things about steemit to other matters. We got to know each other to an extent during that time. Even when we were done eating, we stayed just to keep discussing about everything. He even explained how to use the what3words code to get the location of places. Bertrand is really as animated and excited about things in person as he is on phone.

When it was about 6:30 pm, we then left for home. It took some time before we could get a taxi. On the way back, rain started drizzling. I really didn't want rain to touch me. Luckily, we both stay at Mile 3. So we dropped at the Blessing Petrol station where we hid from the rain.

While there, I bought some vaseline that I had been meaning to buy for a while now. We continued to discuss till the rain stopped. Rain might had stopped but places were so cold. Even though I had fun, I wanted to be back home soon because the cold was killing me.

Bertrand helped me to take a bike and waited till I was on my way before he could go. I thought it was very kind of him. When I got home, he still texted to make sure I was safe. He is really a gentleman.

After I had changed at home, I was so not in a mood to eat achu. But I needed to warm up my system so I made some fried ripe plantains with egg. I also made a cup of kidney herbal tea. The only options available were liver, kidney and brain. The brain teabags were few so I left them for my mother.

After I ate, I stayed for a while on my phone texting. Then I followed up some of my series. Today was the last episode of “The First Lady”, a Columbian series I had been following. It was so emotional I even shed a few tears.

Later, when I was done with all the series’, I got into bed and wrapped up tightly while texting. I then fell asleep before I knew it as I was tired from the day I had.
