Creative Writing : WHAT'S THE PROPER TIME FOR ROAD MAINTENANCE?

Hello steemit friends! How are we today? I do hope we all are doing great and excited. WHAT'S THE PROPER TIME FOR ROAD MAINTENANCE OR ROAD CONSTRUCTION 🚧.

I have observed that most of the road construction works take place at the wrong time here in Bamenda city in the North West region of Cameroon. I don't know whether the contractors do that under pressure from the various city councils or they simply don't have a mastery as far as timing is concerned.

I am saying this because for some years now, it's either the roads are constructed or graded at the heart of a dry season or at the heart of the raining season. It's either the construction takes place in the rainy season where the road would be difficult to plough due to mud. When there's mud it would be difficult for vehicles or pedestrians to use.

Vehicles and pedestrians find it difficult to equally use the raods when it becomes too dusty. Students studying in Bambili will testify with me the number of road accident recorded there within a short time. It's either that stretch of road is dusty or muddy.

For me, the best time to either maintain or construct or road is either when the rainy season is in it's first week or a week into the dry season. Before the seasons would be intense the soil must have been compacted and thus difficult to be eroded. This will intend reduce the risk and number of road accidents.
