Creative writing contest:20/05/2021 : the town of dschang
Good morning dear Steemians I am glad to partake in this new contest of creative writing for this week and I must say it is my first time to go in for this contest.
My creative writing will be talking on the municipal lake of dschang and also dschang as a whole. Dschang is found in the west region of cameroon precisely in the menoua division .dschang is the head quarter of menoua division.from so many findings , I have noticed that dschang is well known because of its brilliant university which attracts cameroonians all over the country and even foreigners.
The dialect dschang people speak is called YEMBA and it's similar to that of so many languages of northwest and west regions.
The town of dschang has many touristic facilities like hotels, a climatic centre(centre climatic) a well furnished and attractive municipal meseum and lake
The picture above is an evening view of how the lake looks like and it should be noted that the meseum is just beside the lake.there are public chairs in the premises which allows you to relax each time you are stressed up and it's a better place to take photos. During the evening time ,you will find so many people in pairs ❤️❤️❤️ spending some good time for two
So many people who come to dschang hardly leave the area without taking some pictures at the lake side ,very big ceremonies are usually organised at the premises of the lake.It should be noted that all the ceremonies and pictures taken there are being paid to the managing team of the meseum though many students do not pay since they have their phone camera and can take a selfie in less than no time without being caught since the place is an open air and there is no fence and security officers to control them from taking pictures.
Festivals are often organised at the lake every year which attracts so many foreigners from near or far the countryside.
Talking about the inner part of the meseum , we have instruments which date as far back as 1800.we have instruments for sounds , traditional clothes ,clothes for warriors during that period , valuable pictures of the founders of dschang.you can pay and they dress you up with those traditional clothes for you to take a picture.
Still beside, there is a bar where drinks are being sold at relatively cheap cheap prices as compared to other areas ,there are boats to roam around the lake with an expert who can drive you around if you can't do the driving.
The area is just fantastic that every lover of nature and calmness will always want to go there and spend quality time alone or with a loved one.
Still at the premises of the lake,there are steep stairs there which attract so many people to do sports by climbing them for their physical fitness

When sitting there you feel the fresh breeze and the sounds of the grass and waters whispering bring you to a different dimension especially when you are listening to slow music.
I have always been hearing mysterious informations about the lake, people usually say that a year cannot pass that a person has not fallen and drowned in that lake .I have been in dschang for 3years and I have only heard of one case in which a person died in the lake but since then I haven't heard of another one.but I doubt the veracity of these allegations .
Talking about the people of dschang,they are so welcoming and good , everybody's knows that dschang has enough food and things are relatively cheap as compared to other towns .when coming to dschang I was told pork is cheap but I instead realised that it is too expensive mean while it is commonly said that dschang "c'est la ville du porc".

The university of dschang has always been among the best universities in cameroon and even in the central african subregion especially in the faculty of law and political science.
Talking about the climate , it has a conducive and favourable climate for studies,it is a cold area and very good for couples😂😂😂 and good for students to read well.

You've made me visit the beautiful town of Dschang in Just some minutes.
The people of Dschang are so welcoming and dynamic too and it's physical location (between the north west and the south west region) has made it a second home for the internally displaced persons.

I can testify that the people of Dschang are very welcoming and the lake site is very beautiful. And for those who haven't visited Dschang, a good place to stay is Hotel De Malte. I have had two touristic visits to Dschang and the memories are really good. I plan to do the third during which i will meet with steemians, visit the university and enter the museum. I love Dschang.
