Biodiversity challenge: Day2 a time in nature challenge:26/05/2021
Good evening dear Steemians it's a previledge for me to come forth with my second contest of biodiversity challenge .i will talk on how the biodiversity in my area is gradually been destroyed.
First of all I have noticed that the biodiversity in my area is being destroyed because of the advent of construction of houses . People destroy the biodiversity inorder to construct their houses without replacing the destroyed plants. Trees are being cut down to build home and to fabricate furnitures without authorization from the authoties and not been replaced.this process scares away animals and this create a vacuum in the environment and the disappearance of some species of animals.
Again the environment is been destroyed in my society by industries who pollute the river with their waste and also with the smoke of the industries which causes the change in the climate condition like in the litoral where so many of these industries are found.besides , vehicles also play a greater part in the destruction of the environment by emmiting smoke and due to the commonness of motor vehicles which destroys the biodiversity.
What I think is good for me to do inorder to conserve the biodiversity or our environment by planting more trees each time there is deforestation and also plant trees where there are no tress.this will eneble to attract animals and try to protect the ozone layer against the bad gas emited in the atmosphere by our industries and motor vehicles.
Again the government have to sensitise these industries on how to dispose of their waste and why not recycle the waste to conserve the natural resources.
Also, I can create sensitisation campaigns in my community by counseling my younger ones and parents on how the biodiversity has to be protected

Illegal logging is a major problem and the earlier people understand that if you cut one tree, plant 5; the better
Pollution and industrializatin have made the situation of biodiversity loss the worst. I am happyt hat you are aware of these and hope that you are raising awareness on the situation in your community.
Remember that from little things, big things grow. Never underestimate the impact of your small actions coz they are creating an impact.

The rate is destruction is really alarming.
I research carried out shows that in 2050 that's in about 30years from now, the world's biological diversity will be reduced by two, meaning we are going to be having only half of the biodiversity present right now available.
