The Diary Game 10/04/2021 - Abakwa Entrepreneurs drive to Bafoussam

Saturday was such an amazing day as I personally had been looking forward to it for a very long time now.
For those of my followers who have been reading my blog, you will already know about our team North West Entrepreneurs FC which we started a few years ago and have been playing a good number of games together for some time now especially this year.

On Saturday we had our very first out of city game against a Veteran team in neighbouring Bafoussam called Unity Friends Club. You can imagine how excited most of us were.

By 7 AM, I was up and about getting things ready for our trip to Bafoussam. I rushed to my friend Blue who was printing our Jerseys, met up with the rest of our team andy 8 AM, we hit the road for our 3hrs drive to Bafoussam.

Fun Fact: Bafoussam is really supposed to be just about 45minutes from here, but with the terrible we have, it's become a 3hrs drive.

The drive was amazing as we all drove in separate cars...

Then @thegreens and I took turns driving his car which had both us, our Goalkeeper and 2 other players on our team. @peacemaker and @fitzalphonse followed in another car, while the rest of the team joined us in Bafoussam as they were travelling in from other cities.

We finally got to Bafoussam around 11 AM and stopped by a gas station for a quick bite after which we dashed off to the football pitch where we were scheduled to play.

We had kickoff at 12:10 and played a really amazing game against the guys. It was tensed at first and we quite frankly feel that we were seriously cheated during the game... but alas, we had an amazing game with no injuries and only just a great time.

Immediately after the game, we moved to a nearby bar, where we had a good time with our host team including a lot of drinking (responsibly) dancing and merry making

We watched the el Clasico which started by 8 PM and immediately after watching that game, we retired to our hotel where I personally called it a day took a quick bath and crashed into my bed.

Saturday was such a great day and my team and I are seriously anticipating the return leg of this game which we hope to schedule for some time next month.
