Steemit Engagement Challenge S8-W2| Gender Visibility and Equality.
Good day once again to everyone, my name is oluwatimileyin and I welcome you to the season 8 of the engagement challenge.
I welcome you to my participation in the week 2 Engagement contest with the title: Gender Visibility and Equality
Gender inequality is a problem that is affecting several communities around the world. Although most societies have been making progress in achieving gender equality, but still, there is still much work to be done.
There are some certain things that can be placed in order to solve gender inequality around the world , here are some of ;
One of the most important ways to promote gender equality is the total removal of gender stereotyping and biases. This is done by confronting the ways in which the female gender are being stereotypes and limited to some opportunities. For example, communities should encouraging their girls to pursue careers in most male-dominated fields such as technology, and engineering and this can help break down the gender stereotyping that say this course are for men.
Education : This is also another key factor in promoting gender equality. There are some part in the North where they believe that women don't need education, they sort of think the act is a waste as they will still end up in their husbands house, these people need to be well educated in this aspect, and this are the actions needed to be taken by the community in a whole to eradicate gender inequality.
Women's International day is another way of raising awareness and promoting gender equality. This annual event is a method of raising awareness about the ongoing fight for gender equality. By celebrating Women's International Day, communities can help increase gender visibility and promote gender equality.
Women's International Day is an important event in promoting gender visibility, it is also important to know that real progress towards gender equality requires extra efforts that goes beyond just one day of celebration, there should always be an ongoing advocacy to promote gender equality and ensuring that we are making progress.
The fight for feminism and women's rights seems interconnected, they are not exactly the same. Feminism are here to challenge the power structures been given to men, while women's rights fight is about advocating for equal rights and opportunities for women.
Both fights are interconnected because they seek a common ground to promote gender equality and creating an equitable world for both Gender.
Women in top positions serve as an important role models and they also serve as a great example that women are capable of being good leaders as well.
In my country Nigeria, there are several good examples of women who have achieved success in leadership. A great example is Kemi Adeosun, A former Minister of Finance, and she made great success in promoting Nigeria economic growth in her era, she was a role model to me and she led a great example for women of likes.
Her success in leadership can serve as proof that women are just as equally capable as men.
What makes a good leader is not determined by gender, but by merit. A good leader is expected to posses qualities such as integrity, vision, and must have the ability to inspire and motivate others.
It's important that communities should start to support leaders who possess these qualities, regardless of their gender.
In conclusion, promoting gender equality is a task that requires commitment from everyone individuals. We can promote gender equality by challenging gender stereotypes, and promoting equally education awareness, as it is that a gender-equal world is not only achievable but necessary for creating a better future for everyone.

Feminism and women's rights are interrelated as you have stated. Both are targeted at promoting gender equality and visibility.
We have had great women leaders in the past who have done us proud just like Kemi Adeosun.
More women will be taking active part in politics soon. Hopefully.
