Steem Cameroon BEST DAY CONTEST :03/02/21

Everyday is “best day” but there must be one with so much more that gives you the urge to select out as the most beautiful day.My best day of last week was filled with both sorrow and happiness. A sorrowful day cannot be a best day but nevertheless sorrow is nothing good so I decide to keep it aside and derive pleasure from the moment.my best day of last week is that which I got to meet my grandmother for the first time after about 3years. I last saw her in December 2018 when we had a family meeting this is because she lives in Belgium and comes to Cameroon 🇨🇲 only when necessary. My grandmother is very loving and caring and a joyful person too. My grandmother had lost her sister and that was the reason why she’s in Cameroon she came along with the corpse ,for the burial to take place in Cameroon. She arrived Douala airport on the 02/05/21 with the corpse.

My granny arrived Bamenda with the corpse on Monday the 03/05/21 and the corpse is presently at the Bamenda regional hospital. My parents had gone to the regional hospital to see the corpse before it’s put in the mutuary. After doing my house chores that day I waited impatiently for my parents to come back from the regional hospital so that I can go meet my lovely granny. Me and my kid sister had to go visit my grandmother since we missed her a whole lot. At 12noon when my parents were back I had already taken my bath and sitted in the sitting room while waiting for my kid sister to dress up . She dressed up and on our way there I saw a friend of mine with a rabbit 🐇 and took a picture of it.

My kid sister said I should hurry up else she would live me behind ,I hurried to catch up with her then we walk a little distance and arrived my aunt’s home were my granny resides. We went inside the house she was sitted on the couch in the sitting room we ran to her ,gave a huge hug and pegs all round her face she was so happy to see us we discussed she told us stories and things happening in Belgium ,she told us about her flight and how she lost her purse at the airport when it reached the point where she had to tell us about how sick her sister was and how she died 😓tears ran dow her eyes ,looking at her in that state my kid sister started crying too ,I couldn’t cry along with them because as a practicing nurse I had to bold up and be courageous enough not to cry but rather console them. After about 5minutes we said a short prayer for her lost sister and the discussion continued. I took a photo of my granny and we also took some photos with her then we had to let her rest since she had traveled and was so tired she went to her room to nap while my kid sister and I went back home.

It was without doubt my best day of the week. After seeing my granny I felt so much happiness from within its a blessing to have my granny still so strong and healthy.
