Is there a difference between assumption and Ascension?
Visiting on sunday is quite preserved because most people are indoors

    Yep there is. Assumption is just from the name, an assumed date for the taking up of Mary. It's believed that she was taken up body and soul on that day. Ascension is the taking up of Jesus Christ as we all know right!
