Steem Cameroon Contest-Farmersday(Ghana)
Hi to everyone here and everyone here. I am very honored to take part in this interesting contest from this great community. I want to share a commemorated day in my country (Ghana) which is the Farmers day.
Farmers day is a day Ghanaians use to recommend our great farmers in the country. Farmers day is celebrated on first Friday of December every year. Farmers are part of our the worker who have hand in the growth of our country. On this day, it is noted as a public holiday to all government and private workers in the country. Farmers contribute a lot in the economy growth in the country. They were even part or those who came together in the writing the Constitution of the country in 1992. The government chose that first Friday of December to recommend our hard working farmers.

The farmers day is been celebrated across the country on that day. The country in been divided into 16 regions. Under each region,the are constituencies and districts, metropolitan, municipals. It is celebrated by all the above mentioned. Every district, metropolitan or municipal will held there ceremony at their locations. On that day,the farmers get rewarded,no farmer will be left out of the prizes. On that day the big prize goes to the best farmer in the district, metropolitan, municipals and the regional. The big occasion always held at the capital town,but for some years now,the president decided to be moving it to region by region. The national best farmer walk home with an amount more than GH¢ 100,000 (49,067.14 steem) each year, and a pickup and tracktor. Everyone takes this day seriously.

Looking at the impact of this celebration,it encourages young people to venture into agriculture. It always tell the people not always depend on the government for employment. Because the government can not provide job for about 35 million population. So when it's getting to raining season,you see a lot young people even government workers venturing in to farming. And they really help a lot.

Our government and the people recommend the farmers a lot their capacity. The government even introduce a project call Fertilizer subsidy, which intends to help farmers in buying fertilizer. Government will pay 40% while the farmers pay the rest for the fertilizer. The whole country cannot do without farmers. So I say thank you to all farmers.
To conclude
The farmers should be rewarded more, their efforts are immeasurable,they feed the country which includes students, prisoners,the health sector, government officials and many more, so I wish they could get extra support from the government. I thank to @fambae everyone for reading my submission 🙏
