Hello everyone here.... I hope y'all doing great today... It has been fun with me here in tamale these days, guess what,Some friends from Denmark came visiting to get to know tamale and our way of life (culture) and I've been privileged to be one of the tour guides and host for that delegation,Kind courtesy Hopin Academy. As we pick them up from the tamale airport to their hotel,One of the best and recommend hotels in Tamale called "Radarch lodge and conference centre ".As the first time meeting each other we needed to get to know each other(Socialization) and it was very intriguing and brainstorming getting to know each other better because there's was so much gap with regards to the cultural diversity and the way we think as black people and whites. It was time for them to rest as they had a long journey to tamale,so they had a nap for sometime and shower. After that, they took their breakfast, oats, coffee, tea, meat pie, spinrolls,Sliced bread, sausage and some cool drinks were served to them.....I'm still trying to understand why whites don't take heavy meals? 🤔
Now it was time to tour around some places in tamale and they were kept in teams as they were many ....I took my team to the tamale market to just hang around and take some pictures and actually buy some stuffs....All of them from my team where 17years and below but we had another guy who was 18 but in a different team...We had a walk around some areas of the tamale market just to have a feel of the place.... Some of the guys bought football jerseys as they were football funs and the ladies got some bracelets ,neckless and anklets...As we walk around in town, we had so many conversations as to how to speak the "Dagbani" language, greetings most and most especially and they also thought me some phrases in Danish.
It was afternoon time and some of them were actually hungry so I had to send them KFC in town to get some food. We took the "yellow yellow" as a means of transportation to KFC and that actually was the first time of them entering that tricycle because they don't have such means of transportation in Denmark.
We got to KFC and ordered some food. They ordered chicken, crushes, Coca Cola and potato chips...They were so happy as that was the favourite for some of them back to in Denmark.
After the meal, we were tired and they need to get back to the hotel to get some rest and prepare for the next day.
Day 2
We visited some senior high schools in tamale to relate with the students as they were also students so they could learn more about Ghana and on culture and they had some sporting activities and fun games with the students and some cultural displays.
Day 3
We visited some recreational centres like SCCA, it's museum where artisan are kept and we also visited some carpentry shops, the cultural center, the clay making center and so many other places.
In the night, we had a dinner night with them as they preparing to travel to Accra to still tour around and get to know a whole lot of places in Ghana....They didn't want to leave tamale because they had fun but it was time for them to leave..... But they still anticipate subsequent visits in future.
