My Thoughts about the fire incident in Bamenda

For the past 3 years, together with my team Noble Arts Entertainment Company - NAEC, we have organized 3 different theatre events in the Northwest Region, advocating for Resilience and the audacity of hope even in the ongoing crisis. The incident at the main market I must confess did break my spirit. Seeing the livelihood of people burnt to ashes is not what we expected to be honest even though we have seen it all. With over 200 shops reduced to nothing and assuming that each had 4 persons depending on it for survival, it simply means as of now over 1200 persons have lost their livelihood to the incident. In times like this, our faith is shaken but I however pray we don't give up as a people. I also wish to call on all creatives to create more hopeful content, especially at this time for the victims. If we must lose, let it be that we lost because none of us was left to try and not that we gave up our ability to dream. My sincere prayers and hugs to the families and victims. We pray the government assists the victims to bounce back. God knows best.
