Autism Spectrum Disorder Awareness
Good day lovely Steemians, hope everyone is doing perfectly well, so today, I want to share my cent on Autism Spectrum Disorder. People who live with this disorder are often time deserted, living them to face their pains and differences alone, I feel, this should be a wakeup call to friends, relatives and the society at large who has people living with this disorder.
What Is Your Understanding Of Autistic Spectrum Disorder?
To me, I see Autistic Spectrum Disorder as a kind of disability in humans that makes them unable to interact or behave as normal human beings. This disability mostly develop from childhood, often times, to a n ordinary man, it is called an Imbecile. It goes as long as disfiguring some victims, making them quite different from the rest of the people in the world.
This disorder causes some differences in the brain of it victims making them have lower than normal intelligence to interact and relate with the rest of the world. In my research, I get to understand that the cause might be from a DNA mutation.
State And Explain Early Signs Or Symptoms Of Autism Spectrum Disorder
To the best of my knowledge, I will be sharing with you the different early signs of this disorder;
• Inability To Walk Early: One of the core symptoms of autism in children is the inability for them to walk at their early stage, let's say from 9 months to a year after birth. They will look like their joints are not well fixed or so weak.
• Inability To Communicate Early: Every child is expected to have some sense of communication skills at early stage of their life, but when this is the opposite, then that means there is problem and might be as a result of Autism Spectrum Disorder.
• Slow Learning: Since this disorder messes with human intelligence/brain, learning will be a difficult task to the victims. As low as their intelligence could be, that is as slow as their learning skill could get.
• Always Avoiding Eye Contact: Autistic patients always have this inability to keep eye contact with people even their parents. This abnormality might seem to look as if they will be an introvert but on most cases, it is always autism.
• Early Seizure/Epilepsy: A child is who developing autism always have the problem of breath seizure and a possible epileptic reaction at a very early stage of their lives, this happens because the brain has been altered from it original functionality to a very different mode.
There are lots of them, but for the sake of this contest, I will stop here.
Is It A Curable Disease, How Can It Be Handled?
Currently, based on my research and physical observations, Autism Spectrum Disorder is not a curable disease, but it can be managed. Since it has to do with DNA mutation, this gives health professionals a little to no clue of the approach to take in giving a final cure to it.
Autism can be handled through love, these human were born differently and it has never for once be their fault, so showing them the love and words of encouragement they need to sail through their lives is what give a them hope for life.
Autism can as well be managed with regular medical checkup and medication, there are different medication for every spectrum that will be recommended by a medical professional. If the victims are being kept under supervision to take their medications, exhibition of these symptoms will be reduced to a minimum range.
Have You Ever Had An Encounter With A Person Suffering From Autistic Spectrum Disorder?
For sure, I have a church member, his name is Emmanuel, he is an autistic patience, it hasn't been easy for him according to the mum, failing his exams and not able to interact even in church with other kids. Sometimes, saliva will be gushing out of his mouth, what I am always happy is the way other kids treat him, he is always welcomed at all times.
Emmanuel has developed so much love for drums, but then he finds it very difficult to remember the different practices from the previous classes making him play off beats, but what I so much love about him is his consistency towards playing the church drums and I am hoping for nothing but a total healing in his life.
Share Your Advice To The Society, Caregivers, And Parents Of Children With Autism?
My advice to the society, parents and caregivers of children living with this disorder is that; they should endeavour to treat them as human, they were born differently not deadly. They deserves so much love to push through this disability.
The society should not desert these fellows as this might end their lives untimely, autism is not a dead sentence but a disorder from birth, they can live their lives to the fullest if given the necessary attention and love they deserve.
I want to invite @etette, @emily08 and @wirngo to participate in this contest if they are yet to do so.

Great entry my brother, it is obvious that we care less of people with disorder. People with Austin disorder find act of kindness as a golden gift one can offer them. Some fall into the line of negligence by their own parents out of ignorance.
There are some with Austism Spectrum Disorder who are treated badly by their parents which is very bad, their feel that their kids with disorder intentionally refused doing what other kids are doing correctly because they don't want to not knowing that it wasn't their fault.
