STARTING A SMALL SCALE POULTRY BUSINESS

Everyone wants to be an entrepreneur, a business magnet. What a great way of reasoning these days. Well it stems wrongly when everyone wants to be the great entrepreneur of some company, everyone thinks of businesses worth only billions of dollars, you want to be compared with Dangote or Gates in your start. Good thinking style still but too far fetched. What about starting small before growing, what about starting with a business of 50k, 100k.

We are gradually getting into the festive period of our time. The periof of many weddings, anniversaries festivals, graduations and big of all Christmas and a New Year. One very big part of a business is to identify the market just at the start, yes we already know who will be buying.

The poultry business is pretty easy to start and as days go by things become more easy. Given its a starting point, I advice anyone to start with 3 weeks chicks. We also have day old chicks which come from the hatch machines of production companies.

BROADING OF DAY OLD CHICKS

This stage requires a little more attention and professionalism to be able to engage in it. I for example have been engaged in this stage of production for 5 years already. When I get them at the fragile 1 day old, I grow them to 3 weeks and give anyone who wants to start a poultry farm, novice.

Already with these things you can keep fowls sell and buy some, you already have these as fixed capital. With time you can just imcrease the quantity of the above mentioned equipments if you want to scale your business larger. The variable assets will include the fowl feed, drugs and the fowls included.
Usually from the second set of chickens it is where you get enough more profit than the first elevation. From the 3 weeks of buying you can raise it or two months and it will be ready to sell. Feeding and medications are all available upon consult.
