International Literacy Day is celebrated on 8th September every year. It is established by UNESCO, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization. Literacy Day is an educational day that is important for sustainable development. Each year has a specific theme that deals with specific aspects of literacy and education. Educational workshops and various events are conducted on this day.

Literacy means being educated and being able to write with a pen. The pen is stronger than the weapon. Literacy is very important for our better life. I want the literacy rate to be 100 percent and the world to be educated. Let education spread everywhere especially the backward castes.
What change do you think this day brought about in your community? |

The education rate of our country has increased a lot. This day encourages a nation to educate. This day promotes educationally backward areas and interacts with them on important aspects of education. Education Literacy is necessary to eliminate inequality among people. International Literacy Day focuses on quality living.

UNESCO and other organizations on education and literacy are very interested in advancing global education technology and research. Without education, a nation can never move towards sustainable development. There was a time in our society when people did not value education or had very little interest in education. Now the government is giving free books and distributing educational materials primary education is made compulsory for all it has increased the literacy rate.
I think more publicity and better initiatives by the government are needed to increase the literacy rate or people's interest in research.
