Creative Writing Contest vol 2: 22/05/2021: The MYSTERIOUS KID 2

Hello dear steemians, it's with great pleasure I bring to you the final page of our last story about the mysterious Chongwa.

In Town.

After all the havoc and encounter with Christ, Chongwa finally came to town and lived with his aunty, Grace. He became an addict to the word of God. Infact, his aunty always reminded him of Joshua 1:8 which reads

Joshua 1:8
This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

It was a beautiful thing in the eyes of everyone that this boy finally changed so his aunty deemed it right to send him to school, an evening school where he had his FSLC within a year. The 3 following years he enrolled for the GCE ordinary level and during the course of attending those classes, he met with diverse kinds of people and made a lot of friends.
Among these friends were 2guys who tried to bring him to their standards i.e loitering around and having parties with much alcohol and girls.
He eventually refused each time but as he kept their company, he began having thoughts of just going there but not taking alcohol nor looking at any lady.
The one thing he forgot was that the more you stay beside fire, it's either you become hot or it burns you. Gradually he began telling lies to his aunty and deceiving her he was going to study meanwhile he was going to "have fun".
His prayer life began to drop, his hunger for the word left, his dedication to evangelism quenched. He was left only to his flesh and desires.😔
His aunty noticed all these and talked to him but, advice only couldn't convict him. So she continued to pray for her boy believing God will emerge at the right time.

And it came to past that one Saturday afternoon as he was in his way to meet these 2 party gurus, he met one of these girls he used to be attracted to and his trousers began to rise. By then two voices began to speak to him. The first said flee the second said resist but he decided to resist. He took the girl to the party where they danced and drank and screamed. After all, under the influence of alcohol and chicha, they left the presence of the others and got into a room to conclude the paragraph but just as they wanted to begin, a light only him could see appeared on the wall and every atom of alcohol in him disappeared. In that light he saw who he really was to become and he began to cry but Sandra the girl he was with didn't understand anything.

The light disappeared and he had a recap of all he went through, a boldness came to him to preach Christ to this girl, he did and she yielded to the groanings of the spirit within and both came stayed into that room blasting and groaning in tongues of angels. The Dunamis was all over and the shekinah glory of God began to have expression.
The people who were still in the parlour didn't know what happened as they heard strange sounds coming from the room Cho and Sandra were. As curious as they were, the first approached the door and he felt something passing through him as electricity, he stepped back and told the others but they believed Chongwa and Sandra were having their nice time together.😅 After some mins of waiting out, the 14 who were in the parlour opened the door of the room. Before they could realise, the power of God encompassed all of them and they were slain and screaming 😂😂

After 30mins, everything was over, all the people have their lives to Christ at the moment.
Chongwa arrived home and told his aunty everything that happened and they all danced to the glory of God. The aunty asked to invite his friends so she could speak to them which he did. After the little chat with them, they began a youth movement to impart God to their generation, Youths on FIRE for God which has been a blessing to many youths around their town.
Today Chongwa is a Pastor with a congregation full of youths on Fire for God, married to his beautiful Sandra with 3kids😁

Lesson.

• Bad company corrupts good manners, no matter how anointed you are, flee from temptation.
• Consistency and dedication to God is what keeps a youth growing and waxing stronger no matter what!
• Do not compromise your godly standards for ungodly reasons. Preach the word of God wherever you find yourself
• No matter what happens to your loved ones, never stop praying for them. The sincere prayer of the righteous availeth much.
