If only I could gather my soul with one sigh. I exhale it for you in a song more seductive than my sadness,
And I would die if I touch your hand and I am not transformed into a mist or a dream or even a sky,
If the things between us are told to the universe or slumber.
If I could embrace you, my next life, to touch my heart with your hands, to touch the homeland that creates in me from your voice,
From your sigh when I say to you: I love you, from your heart made of light.
If only I could dip your hand in my soul or put my soul in your hand.
If only I could extend my life to you and leave. When this morning seemed less bright than I see,
And when everything else seemed to tell me there was no point in being.
