Steem Cameroon Best day contest 11-08-2023
Hi everyone
This is my first time posting here and i am so happy to be a participant of this weeks contest
Below is the narration of my best day of last week
My best day of last week was Saturday (5-08-2023) because it happened to be one of my friends wedding day. We have been anticipating it for several weeks because we knew it would be fun and colourful. When it finally arrived we were all filled with excitement. I and my siblings and others woke up very early around 4:00am and started making preparations. Varieties of food were prepared ranging from fried rice to jellof rice and different types of soup. It was so heart warming seeing beautiful smiles on every ones faces. Soon we were done with cooking and it was time to get dressed for the big event. Everyone came out with beautiful and glamouring dresses. I wore a fitted black gown because black is my favourite colour. Though my hair was worn out, i packed it in a presentable manner to still look good, then went ahead to apply a little makeup.
We went to the reception venue and many people were already seated. We got seats that were convenience so we can see everything to unfold. Soon it was time for the couples to arrive, i was so excited when they danced inside,the bride was so beautiful, small tears gathered in my eyes because i was filled with happiness. We stood up to join them in dancing for a while before retiring to our various seats. Time for sharing the food then arrived, i assisted in sharing the food with other ladies while some of the guys shared the drinks. Thrilling performances were made, some kids sang for them with their lovely voices. The event was indeed colourful. We went outside to take pictures and surprisingly i happen to see my cousin who had travelled for a long time. I was so happy to see her because i have not seen her for a while. She said she didn't want to tell us she's coming because she wanted to surprise us. It was a surprise indeed.
We took a lot of pictures then handed our gifts to the couples wishing them happy married life before going home. It was indeed my best day of last week

Hello @lillyjeremiah you must have really enjoyed yourself at your friends wedding ceremony. Next time always add at least 5- 8 photos on your diary games, for example your cover photo would have been the photo you too with the bride, you would have added the photo of food preparation, then the wedding hall for us to see how colourful it was, Etc. Also always split your paragraphs into 7-10 lines this will make your post more readable and presentable.
Lastly, you're not very active you only post ones a week. What's your challenge?
