As part of the third week of the fourth season of Steemit Engagement Challenge of the contest proposed by the Steem Cameroon community, I have the honor to participate and share with you my point of view, so I wish you a good read.

What do you understand by Talent(skill)? With examples

It is the gift and the divine secret that God has deposited in each of us, meaning that it is innate and born with man.

The earliest example describing talent is the story of the bamboo tree; This wonderful tree does not grow until after four years of watering and caring for it, and in the following year, that is, in the fifth year it grows very quickly. And so is talent exactly, it needs to travel to it to the depths of your heart, and it may require you a long journey and many practices in life in order to appear in public and reap the fruits of your talent.

I say that talent is not controlled and does not end, but rather increases and grows and becomes better and better, and this does not happen except with hard work, diligence, perseverance and permanent development of this talent.

It is worth noting that the talent is limited as there is at least one talent in the person, but it is mostly hidden and needs to be discovered by the person in order to develop it properly, so the gifted person is a distinguished person with this talent. Examples abound in this, for example, the talent for imitating sounds, the talent for drawing, the talent for calculating numbers and mentally complex arithmetic operations without a calculator.

Let's take a walk standing up. It is a human characteristic compared to, for example, a chimpanzee. Therefore, there is an innate aspect to walking upright.

Now we have to learn to walk. We can say that walking upright is acquired, because it is the result of learning.

In fact, the seemingly correct view is that the ability to walk upright is innate. Realizing this potential is the result of an achievement.

The same reasoning leads us to say that the possibility of intelligence, regardless of the definition of the word, is innate, but its realization is learned.

A potentially difficult question, which requires a definition of intelligence, is whether we are all born with the same potential. If so, it is the learning stage that creates the differences. To complicate matters, man is not passive in his educational stage.

All this makes the topic complicated, and any simple answer makes it simplified.

How can you identify talent?

Have you ever looked at one of your friends practicing a talent such as drawing or playing music and wished you were like him? To have a talent that you practice, develop and enjoy? Why wish you had this talent already? Yes, this is true.. Each of us has a talent that he excels at, but many of us have not yet discovered this talent, especially since many think that the talent should be linked to a specific art such as painting or music.

Finding your talent is not difficult, but it just takes some patience and determination to find it. There are four simple steps that you can follow to make it easier for yourself to discover your talent.. Read them with us in the following lines:

Ask yourself what you like to do: Any research begins with a question.. The question here is “What do I like? What do I enjoy doing?”. If you find the answer to this question, you will have reached the halfway point of your talent because what you love to do and enjoy is often what you are good at.

Try many new things: to find what you are good at, you must not stop experimenting. After you have determined what you love to do, you should try to practice it more regularly and intensively to see how much skill and creativity you can achieve. Also, you should always try new and different activities because it is possible to find what you love and are good at. And when you try, don't take it as a test for yourself, but rather consider that you are playing, enjoying your time trying anything.

Search and discover different and new talents: Do not be satisfied with what you know about different talents and skills, but search for activities and talents that you do not know on the Internet and on the ground in artistic and cultural centers and watch their own videos or ask those who practice them about how to do them, it is possible to attract Your attention is something you've never heard of before, and then turns into a talent and adoration for you.

Ask others: People around you can help you discover your talent. Do not be shy to ask your family and friends what they think and what they think you are good at. They may notice something that you didn't before, such as your ability to listen to other people's problems and help them, or your taste in color coordination or clothing choices. All of these things can turn into amazing talents if you focus your attention on them.

I will talk to you about a talent that I do not know if it is a talent and acquired, which is the art of Arabic calligraphy. I will tell you about it and you will judge.
At first I prepared what I needed from paper and a pen specialized in calligraphy writing.

Here are the stages of writing on the Kufic method.

The result, I was not completely satisfied with it because I had not practiced this hobby for a while and I think I will return to practise it with writing several words to recover my full qualifications.

I believe that talent is essential to any art, and calligraphy is an art in itself. Some claimed that it is a rigid art, but the real artist is the one who turns stagnation into movement, and we cannot find a real artist without talent, because calligraphy can be learned, but the feeling remains in the artist’s heart, and I personally inherited the talent of calligraphy from my father, as his calligraphy was beautiful and striking for attention.

With the presence of talent, I tried to develop it, especially since I was influenced in primary school by my teacher's handwriting of the Arabic language, and then I refined my talent by studying and determining the types of fonts and others.
