Hello Steemians, greetings to you all and welcome to my post today. I trust you and your loved ones are doing fine. Today I am here to talk about gender equal world as part of my entry to the contest that is organized in Steem Cameroon.

How can you help your community forge a gender-equal world?

To helps my Community forge a gender-equal world, wouldn't be that easy because is something that will amount of me taking action and putting in resources that will make my plan workout.

Having said that, the ways in which I will help my Community forge a gender-equal world is by me empowering women's in my Community with a good structure and also provide them with the necessary resources that can place them in high position in my community.

I would ensure that I empower and encourage women in my community to participate in politics and also take part in Community development which I will also support women leadership both in the community levels and national level where there can speak about boldly gender equality.

I will also create an awareness that would stop any form of discrimination that says women's are only meant to be housewives. This will ensure that women are also recruited in the same way men are recruited in both governmental and non-governmental organization.

👉🏾 Can celebrating Women's International day increase visibility and equality?

Celebrating Women's international day can increase visibility and equality. Just as it was celebrated yesterday, 8 March 2023 as a social reforms and join policy for the world to increase visibility and equality, thereby putting gender equality and sustainability at the center of progress and Community growths.

Several people all over the world including world leaders celebrated their mothers which is an indication that celebrating Women's international day can increase visibility and equality in the world since it is a special day that is set aside to celebrate, encourage and empower women's.

👉🏾 Are the Feminism fight and the Women’s Rights fight the same?

The both fight are different, because feminism is focus on political and social movements that tend to ensure that women are giving equal right among sexes in our society.

In a simple understanding, Feminism fight is a set of political, and social ideologies movements where groups of people mostly women's come together in sharing a common goal in achieving equality in the society among different sexes. Women's Rights fight, on the other hand, is the state where women's fight for their rights, freedom, and opportunities in the society. In a nutshell, women's right fight is simply the fight for an unlawful discipline that tend to deprive women for having some certain rights.

👉🏾 What do you say about women in top positions like Presidents, Parliamentarians, Senators, CEOs (Chief Executive Officers), and COO (Chief Operations Officers)? Give possible examples in your country (community)

The truth is that when women are make leaders or been place in top positions like presidents, parliamentarian, senators, or CEO and so on, there tend to be brought about talents, new views, alongside with cultural diversity and better structure to the organization they work for.

My statement, here, is that women can do better when in other top positions beside, position like presidents and parliamentarian. Like in the case of my country, Nigeria, we have women like:

  • Dr. Ngozi Okonjo Iwela,
  • Folorunsho Alakija
  • Ibukun Awosika
  • Catherine Uju Ifejika
  • Mosunmola Abudu
  • Stella Chinyere Okoli
  • Oby Ezekwesili
  • Linda Ikeji

These few aforementioned women have brought glory to Nigeria in different ways which everyone is proud of them including myself. Like in the case of Dr. Ngozi Okonjo Iwela she is the only Nigeria minister that have handled Nigeria Economic better when she was serving as a finance minister during Dr. Good luck Jonathan regime. She worked so her for Nigeria and also gain international recognition which uplifted her to hold international position.

Besides her, the other women are genuine in both government and private sector. Like Linda ikeja is the most successful blogger that we have in Nigeria, you can imagine how good she is as a blogger. She has won a lot of Awards and also gain global recognition.

A good leader is seen from his quality, not from his gender. I think it's time for women to rise up. In my country, there is no gender problem. Good luck for the contest. I have also participated in this contest.
