"Marriage for life or Contract Marriage"

What is your understanding of the statement “for better and for worse till death do us part”?

Firstly, let me start by saying that marriage is sweet when you're with the right partner. The statement “for better and for worse till death do us part” is a statement that is pronounced at the altar, which begins by reciting the golden words of marriage. Yes, I do follow with kisses, which everyone will believe is the first of many more. When this is going on, family and friends will be watching, whereas some will be crying and smiling for the happiness of the couple, which is then followed by the statement “for better and for worse till death do us part.”

To my understanding of the statement "for better and for worse till death do us part," means that after marriage, the married couple is meant to stay with each other come rain or shine, still death separates them from each other. The statement is an agreement that joins husband and wife together for life. Also, my understanding of the statement is that a married man and his wife are to stick with each other both in hard times and good times, and nothing like separation except death should ever come their way.

Which do you prefer, marriage for life or a contract marriage?

As a Christian, I know that marriage is for life and not a contract marriage. Having said so, marriage for life is what I prefer, and as it stands right now, I have started preparing myself for it.

Yes, I agree that housework should not be a role attached to a particular gender. Marriage is all about helping each other be there when the need arises. Doing things together as husband and wife is what marriage is about, an not allowing just one person to be doing all the domestic work at home.

If I get married together, my beautiful wife and I will be doing house chores together whenever I am around, and in the case where I am too busy with work, I will employ a housekeeper to do those house chores that may be too stressful for her.

Considering myself a specialist in the field, I would like to share some useful tips with my fellow youth about marriage. As a youth, when it comes to marriage, ensure you follow the tips shared below.

• Don't marry a lady because of her beauty; character is more important.

• Ensure you have the available resources at hand before getting married. Having money is good, so your wife and children wouldn't suffer.

• Make sure you and your wife are seriously in love with each other.

• Be supportive of your wife. Pamper her and treat her like a queen.

• Sometimes, dress like a couple when going out. Etc.
