Transatlantic migration
Good day to all steemians, merry Christmas and a prosperous new year in advance.
Am writing this message with so much pain in heart as I lost a very close family friend and brother just this period.
I was at home yesterday in the evenings after my usual outing when one of my brothers came with the news that my friend and brother lost his life while trying to search for greener pasture abroad.
According to news reaching my ears they had got plans traveling to USA but using the transatlantic means which is less cheaper. The idea was given to them by some guys abroad who went through that means and succeeded they were asked to reserve a certain amount of money in other to forth some little bills in the process. They all hustle, raised the cash and it was time. they got their selves prepared for the journey and it all started.
They entered Nigeria walk till they arrive lybia it should be noted that lybia is the actual country were they were expected to bought a canoe inorder to access the Atlantic ocean down to italy which from there they will travel to mexico and into the usa.
But on their way while in the Atlantic's as a result of some water waves the canoe had to sink some of them had to swim but couldn't succeed since they were in the middle of the ocean already some of them died as a result of the toomuch cold in the ocean. It is estimated that over 2000 migrants including my friend lost their lives in the process.
It is a Pitty the way this means has become a growing way to travel abroad. I just wanna advice that despite the hardship and the urge to hussle cash and give ourselves and family a better life let's not also risk our lives trying to do this there's always a better way and oppurtinity thank you. RIP my friend.

This is quiet sad there is alot that we can do in Cameroon and also make it green here .it may be greener at the west but people should learn to be creative than take such risk and end up dead and not reaching the destination. Sorry about your lose. I pray you don't follow your Friend someday. Just be happy.its Christmas and you are alive

It’s a pity because all those trying to escape is because of our bad government. Many have lost their lives in such venture. We just have to pray for ones existence and Gods protection
