Poem: Wild 2(Without Shame)

NAME: Shame plant (Mimosa pigra)

Wild 2: We rise, despite the shame

Bleak with beauty,
like a bleak and bare rock,
we are special in our nature
we glow with the morning sun
only to faint when the evening comes

We hide in our sheets,
waiting for nature to unwrap and fix us up,
despite our dirty slate

Like this flower
engrossed with shame
yet, rise again

Like the sun and the galaxy of stars
we fall, but rise again

Like a dead flame with an ember
still too hot to roast a yam
so, hide your shame!
and surge again

Like a broken piece of art,
we know our origin
from "a masterpiece"
so, we impress again

To that tendron
that never bloomed and kiss the sun,
bloom again

To the ball
who never went into the net,
try again

To that kid
who never heard papa say 'I love you"
pls, don't stop loving

To that post
who never had an upvote
pls write again,
if possible with a glass of Mimosa

To the truth
which never surfaced
pls, beat the ridge

Regardless of the setbacks
even though the world is beating you down to every mold.
halt, refocus, and try again

Let's rise, like a rising wedge
despite the dip
fall but always plumb to the top

let's stop circling the sun,
wondering who left the light on,
let's Beat the shame!
and rise again
