Hello every one, Hope we all doing great.
Today I will like to share with on immunization which is the act of introducing vaccines to the body to boost or produce antibodies to help our system fight against bacteria or viruses.
In Cameroon immunization is fucus on infants the most say from birth to about 5 years or more.
Most people do take it lightly because they don't know the importance of vaccination. Vaccination help in protecting kids from being infected with some of this deathly disease which might kill faster in children. Some of this diseases include tetinus, tuberculosis, diphtheria, measles, whooping cough, poliomyelitis, hepatitis B etc.
Since this diseases are to damage went an infant is but infected with it the government of Cameroon has try to provide vaccine for these kids free of charge so that they can be protected thus these vaccine do not work a hundred percent, it is able to protect at least 94% of children who receive it reducing the amount of infant deaths.
Some of these vaccines are given to mothers, pregnant people and girl children who met the requirements for the HPV vaccine (human papilloma virus) which is the leading cause of cervical cancer. There are also vaccines for males. For example the tetinus vaccine, HPV vaccine and the Covid19 vaccine which is for all both men, children and women but here in Cameroon it is been given only to persons 18 years and about.

With all this the rate at which our kids still get infected with this diseases is higher than it is suppose to be because of the way we do things

Problems been face by immunization in Cameroon

Roads are one of the biggest problems we are have. There are no road or so many bad road which make it difficult for vaccines to reach some certain villages.

High rate of insecurity that is people are afraid to go vaccine children in places far from towns
Mishandled of vaccine most staffs do not follow thw World Health Organisation norms and standards for vaccination so at the end of the day kids end up being vaccinated rather being immunise.
Our cultural believes also slow down the immunization process because some people refer their kids from getting the vaccine.
Poor electricity also contribute to spoil the vaccine because they are to be stored in temperatures colder than the normal room so at the end of the day children get water In place of vaccine because heat has demage it.

Also most children get uncomplete vaccine dose because parents start and do not finish al the required vaccines.

conclusion

Vaccination is not out to kill us or reduce our life span rather to protect us from getting sick and dieing.
Let try to educate parents to get their kids all vaccinated and to try and receive all the does for a better immunization.
Health workers check the vacancies well before giving it out to any person and try to follow all the standard norm for a better and health Cameroon.
