STEEM CAMEROON BEST DAY CONTEST:23:07:2021
Hello great minds of the steem world. Am happy to take part in another edition of this awesome contest; my best day contest brought to us by @steem-cameroon. I hope you all find it interesting as you read through.
My best day of last week happens to be Monday the 12/07/2021. This day as usual happens to be ghost town in my area as a result of the Anglophone crisis and usually it is always a very boring day for us however this particular monday changed the narrative and became my favorite day of the week.
I woke up at 5:am to prepare myself for morning mass because it was my choir’s turn to lead the divine office in church throughout the week, with that, it was clear that the start of the week for me was good . I got to church by 6:am , mass went on well especially the priest’s homily wherein he encouraged us to always give a helping hand to the needy arround us. By 7:am, mass was over and i went back home. My sister and i had a birthday cake for my Aunts daughter to bake as it was her 10th birthday. This also made the day an interesting one for me because i love baking and discovering new designs so whenever i am designing, it is always a pleasurable moment for me. When we were done, we took some pictures of it and left for the venue
The birthday was to hold at my Aunt’s residence at Ndamukong street, i am particularly always scared to go out on ghost town days unless i am going to Church, but on this particular day, we went smoothly without anyone disturbing us on the way and places were quite calm . We got there and did a few decorations in the parlor, called the neighbors and began the celebration that officially started with a word of prayer from the birthday girl’s mum. When he was done, we gave her our birthday wishes for her on her special day and she was so happy as it was the second birthday cake and surprise she had received in a day. She had turned 10 and we all know it is quite a significant age in a child’s life, so we asked her how she felt turning ten, we were shocked at the brilliant response she gave, in her words ‘I feel really awesome turning 10 today, it is a sign of maturity, growth and more responsibility over my siblings at home for me’. She dad was surprised at her response that he just keep smiling all through, it is his first child. When she was done, she proceeded to cutting her cake and we all ate afterwards
Everyone ate to their satisfaction while the birthday girl had us well entertained with her beautiful dance moves together with her cousin, they staged three different songs and i was amazed at their flexibility such that i kept asking myself if i could still be this flexible. We later on left the birthday venue arround 5:pm considering the kind of day it was , we didn’t see a bike that could take us home so we decided to walk home, it rather became so much fun as we were singing and cracking all sort of jokes on the way, taking selfies at different spots as well
The day was my best day of the week as it started with amazing activities from morning right up to the evening period of the day and i really enjoyed the entire day. Thanks for reading through
