Steem Cameroon Best day Contest - 29.02.2024"

Hello friends,

Just 4 days ago, 29 Feb was leap day of the year 2024 i.e. once-in-every-four-year event. I spent the day quite busy as suddenly there was an special event in our locality.

There was day long shooting of a Bengali Movie called Sastri. The artists present on the from the cast was Bollywood famous Mithun Chakraborty and Tollywood famous actress Debashree Roy alongwith many Bengali TV serial actors.

Soham Chakraborty being actor cum producer of film and resident of the locality organized the shooting in a local park just within 30 m from my house. The director Pathikrit Basu spent the whole day from 9 AM to 11 PM.

There was a dance sequence of a Fastival called Godess Durga Puja. A complete Puja environment was created as same as Durga Puja is held. A huge shade (pandal) was made where Godess Durga Idol with her family were placed for warship. There was a huge ground where the dance sequence shooting took place in the backyard ground of different marry-go-round and food stalls. It was just like a fair ground.

The movie is based on short story written by Debarati Chakraborty. Theme of the film is fiction of Science verses non science. Arnav Bhowmik is the script writer. The Hero Heroine couple have three block buster successful movies in past. Again the pair will appear in two different looks.

I had been in the set for the entire day. Though photography of cast and crew was not allowed I tried to take some selfies with the set. It was my first experience of witnessing a movie shooting in reality.

I'm really lucky to see one of my favourite actor 'Disco Dancer' famous Mithun Chakraborty from close proximity.

The day was like a real Durga Puja fastival day in the locality.
