"Steem Cameroon Best day Contest - 17.03.2024"

Last Sunday, 17-03-2024 was very auspicious day for Hindus as it was a day of yajna, oblation of fire, i.e. sacrifices for Mata Chandi Devi. Pandits also chant Chandi Mantra and hymn.

The benefits of Chandi yajna or homam are enormous. Few are highlighted below:

Helps you attain Success and win over one's enemies.

Performing Chandi Homam helps in overcoming barriers and obstacles in life.

Liberates one from evil eyes and curses.

Blesses one's life with positivity and happiness.

So we got an opportunity to offer our prayers and also offer Betel leaves, Betel nuts, Coconut, Turmeric, Flowers, Fruits, a coin, a small bag of herbs are . dropped into the fire seeking the blessings of the Almighty.

There were two venues one was inside a Tample premises and another in a play ground where many other Festival and Worship are held.

I attended both the festivals. The deity were different in two places. At one place it was absolutely red with four hands and in another place there were ten hands like Mahamaya. Mahamaya face is white which resembles face tone of Lord Shiva and hands are blue which resembles tone of Bishnu. There is a parmanent statue of Mahamaya can be seen at Ajmer, Rajasthan an Indian state. The red statue with four hands are seen all over India and it is called Chamunda Mata.

On the day a special bhog, ( food offered to god) also called annakut was arranged by the temple committee. It was available at a nominal cost of Rs 125 (3.69 Steem).

Normally the idols are made of clay. These are not permanent statues. After completing Puja, homam and rituals. They normally immerse the idol in the water. After the immersion we say, we immerse our beloved maa today, may our lives be immersed in joy, happiness, and success.

The day will come again after a year. So this is an important day for all Hindus.
