Does Academic Success Really Determine Future Financial Success?

All of us at one point of our academic lives have heard this statement; " Go to school, work hard, have good grades so that you can get a good job in future." We have either heard this statement, or a similar statement. Our parents and teachers always seem to find a way of linking future financial success with our academic performance. But how true is this?

To be fair, there are a few people who are absolutely crushing it in life who came from this route, but for billions more, this is not the case. We've all heard the saying "A students Work for C students." This infact is the reality of life. We would expect the smartest students to make the most money and vice versa, but this is not the case. This proves a point.... It takes more than a bunch of good grades to succeed in the financial world.

The fact is school alone isn't enough... We need more. We need financial education. Unfortunately, we don't find this in school. We are taught to be employees and not bosses. We are taught to avoid risk, we are taught to limit ourselves such that we never achieve our full potential. Unfortunately, the smartest students take these lessons more seriously, hence the outcome.

I am challenging us today to breakout of this system. If we follow this same system as our parents did, then we shouldn't expect different results. Dare to dream beyond what school tells you, invest heavily personal development. Take risks, begin that business. These are the things "C Students" do and they ultimately become bosses. You can begin today by chasing financial education. I can recommend the books of Robert Kiyosaki. They are indeed life changing.

Remember at the end of the day, you will be the one left with regrets if you fail to take action. It is time to change the narratives....
