500 steem is presently is 107,00frs which is Cameroon's currency.
Calculation;
1 steem = 0.36 dollars

1 dollar = 595frs

So 1 steem will be 0.36 × 595 = 214frs
And 500 steem will be 214frs × 500steem= 107,000frs

Most people fail to analyze these small businesses to see their gain which could be even greater than other jobs. So for me if I get 107,00frs which is 500steem I could start a little cafeteria and possibly earn 5,000frs+ daily. So I'll be needing the following;

• A gas bottle plus refill= 30,000 frs ( 140.19 steem)

• Gas plate = 10,000 frs(46.73 steem)

• Small pot = 2,500 frs (11.69 steem)

• 6 breakable plates (3plates for 1000frs) = 2,000 frs (9.35 steem)

• 5 tea cups = 2,500 frs(11.69steem)

• Half dozen forks = 500 frs (2.34 steem)

• A wooden table and bench to serve = 7,000 frs (32.72 steem)

• A tablecloth = 1,000 frs(4.68steem)

• 2 small bowls = 1,000 frs(4.68 steem)

• 2 transparent buckets = 1,500 frs(7.01 steem)

• Half dozen spoons(6) = 500frs(2.34 steem)

• Pasta(Spaghetti) = 2,000 frs(9.35 steem)

• 2 trays of egg = 4,000 frs(18.70 steem)

• 3 tins of condensed milk = 3,000 frs(14.02 steem)

• Mayonnaise = 2,000 frs(9.35 steem)

• 1 tin of butter = 2,000 frs(9.35 steem)

• Sponge and 2 knife = 1,000 frs(4.68 steem)

• Transportation = 5,000 frs(23.37 steem)

• Irish potato = 10,000frs(46.73 steem)

• A tin of coffee and cocoa powder = 3,000 frs(14.02 steem)

• Unforeseen plus to rebuy the perishables or bread = 5,000frs(23.37 steem)

• Small boiler = 5000frs(23.37 steem)

  Total = 103,500 FCFA (483.76 steem)

So after buying the things, I just need a good spot to sell in the evenings and honestly there is a good place not far from my house which I could without any trouble since it's only in the evening. Also I have a small shelf I can use as a gas stand and place things like butter, the spaghetti, egg, plate in it without needed to buy an extra table for myself to fry on. Plus you get to win since I won't need to search for dinner.

You see, the reason I would pick this is because where I live up here in Buea town something like this is very profitable. I remember one night my dad sent us to buy him Irish and the guy sells this way;
One plate with 1 egg and spaghetti is 500frs. Then a plate with 2 eggs and spaghetti is 600frs. If you need more Irish then you can increase the money according to how much you want. Then just opposite is a little cafeteria where they do tea, bread and egg. So in my own corner I can do both that is adding Irish to it especially since my cousin can assist me there. That's why a boiler comes in for those taking tea so that I can use the two sides of the gas plate to fry Irish and egg. If every night I earn 5,000frs at least, in a month I'll earn more than the initial capital.

There is always an opportunity cost which is your next best choice. So for my next best choice, I'd to use that 500steem (107,000frs) to invest in steem. With 500 steem added to my account, after powering it up, I'd be at 1,200SP which will strengthen my account more. From there, I will create more posts, earn curation rewards by voting other posts, enter contests and by 1 or 2 months of consistency I would have earned more than the 500steem initially invested.
