Steemit Engagement Challenge S8-W2 | Gender Visibility and Enquality

Hello steemit friends wherever you are, how are you all. On this occasion I tried to take part in the Steemit Engagement Challenge - S8W2 contest with the theme Gender Visibility and Enquality in the Steem Cameroon community.

Gender equality refers to an equal condition between men and women in fulfilling rights and obligations. Men and women cannot be equal, because men and women have different responsibilities. Moreover, for us Muslims it is clear that the position of men and women is perfectly regulated. This is also in accordance with the different natures between men and women.

However, when viewed from the equality of obligations in a broader scope, men and women have the same rights and opportunities to advance and act for progress. Equal rights and positions in the fields of education, economy, education, and politics. Gender equality or visibility can be interpreted as an ability to see more broadly about equal rights and obligations between men and women.

How can you help your community forge a gender-equal world?

Gender equality can be carried out in certain fields in society or a community. Providing the widest opportunity for women to improve their abilities in various fields. Equality can be in the field of education, society to the political sector. Support for gender equality between men and women can also be carried out by providing women with a sense of security. Feeling safe in carrying out activities to be free from various acts of violence. Also provide space and opportunities as much as possible for women in accordance with their rights and obligations.

Can celebrating Women's International day increase visibility and equality?

Mother's Day is a form of celebration in an effort to support gender equality in Indonesia. In daily life, they always prioritize opportunities for women to develop talents according to their abilities. In Indonesia, women are highly respected, although it cannot be denied that harassment often occurs and they experience violence. Every year in Indonesia a commemoration of Kartini's day is also held, which is a fighter for women's emancipation.

What do you say about women in top positions like Presidents, Parliamentarians, Senators, CEOs (Chief Executive Officers), and COOs (Chief Operations Officers)? Give possible examples in your country(community)

There is nothing wrong if women have a high position in an organization or even in a government. This has also happened in our country, Indonesia, which at that time was led by a female head of state, namely President Megawati. So I really agree with the position of women to be above to lead if they have the proper ability and competence. Not only that, at this time several great women have emerged in Indonesia and some have even become ministers and chairmen of the council. Sri Mulyani Indrawati, Retno Marsudi, Puan Maharani, and Khofifah Indar Parawansa were great women who emerged as leaders in Indonesia. There are also many national and international companies that entrust women as their CEO, the main director of Pertamina is held by women.

What makes a Good Leader (Gender or merit)

A person's achievement is not determined by gender, because it does not make a positive contribution to a person's good leadership. A good leader is a leader who has concern for the people and subordinates. Leaders who always think about how to prosper the people they lead.
