MY SATURDAY EXPERIENCES: ATTENDING[09/09/2023 TRADITIONAL MARRIAGE [

Good day my Steemians, am wishing you a happy day from @etette ,it a great joy to be on steemit platfom and also in cameroon Community as well,
I like to share with you this joyous event I attended on Saturday 09/09/2023 in my village It local government Area Akwa Ibom State Nigeria.

Before I go deeply on how the marriage went through, permit me to do a little Introduction about marriage on my Culture. Traditional marriage in my Culture is primary established type of marriage recognized in a given society,religious in a given country at a given time: In that culture, traditional marriage needs the families of the future bride and groom to be engage and exchange gifts before the parents of the bride and groom and at the same time witness by the village or groups. In the morning, the community Women comes out in their numbers to help the bride family to cook different types of food in preparation of the marriage official. It is a Culture in my village that after cook the food know as "Udia ibehe" that is the food cooking in preparation for the coming of the groom and his family. It was by 2 PM, the village,friends and love ones take their seat in the bride compound, the Introduction of the Master off the ceremony (MC) who speaks in the joyous event. There was introduction of personalities from both families. After there was a welcome song and ushering in of the grom with his family and friends. And the same was do with the family of the bride. People rejoice and dance with them.

It was a nice event for the family of Edem Okon of the groom and the family of Peter Effing to give their son and daughter in marriage.
It was a great day for the bride and groom to be addressed as Mr. And Mrs. Matthew Edem Okon.

My Steemians,I really appreciate God for this young girl who is the only daughter for the parents to be a married woman. The event was a successful one to the glory of God.
