Steem Cameroon Contest - My Short Movie Script: Drama (A Birthday Party)

Hello steemians

I believe everyone is up and doing. I'm glad to take part in this contest organized by Steem Cameroon.

Drama can be described as action on stage. It is a
branch of literature that is written and performed before an audience. It involves; gestures, actions, words etc.

Title: The Birthday Party

Characters
Mr. Bisola: Husband of the celebrant

Mrs. Bisola: The wife of Mr. Bisola and the birthday Celebrant.

Junior: Son of Mr and Mrs. Bisola

Mercy: Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bisola

(A scene opens as Mr. Bisola enters the stage. He beacons on his children to get ready for the celebration.)

Mr Bisola: Mercy! Junior! Get ready. We are moving out in the next fifteen minutes.

Junior: Ah Dad! Is it not too early? This is just 3 pm. I think the party starts at 3:30 pm

Mercy: But we need to explore the place first before the party begins. At least, we get to check the environs, the decoration and even pick the best seats. You know it's Mum's day and this time, Dad is celebrating her in a grand style.

Junior: Yes dear. You got a nice point. Let's get prepared as early as possible.

(A few minutes later, Junior, Mercy, and their father got to the venue. Everywhere was arranged and booming with music)

Junior: Ah! Mum's friends are already here. This birthday ceremony will be a nice one. Mum's friends are all here to honor the invitation.

Mercy: But, I'm yet to see Mum. Where is she? I thought she is here.

Junior: Yes, mum is here but as the celebrant, she's not meant to be moving around. She will have to stay at a place till the party begins.

Mercy: Oh! This is nice. (Looks and taps Junior) Look up there! This is such a beautiful cake.

Junior: Wow! This is beautiful. The MC is on the stage. The party has just begun.

Mercy: Oh yes. It's going to be a great time here.

(45 minutes later, the MC declared the birthday party over. Junior and Mercy rushed to give their mum a big hug as they made their way home

Junior: Happy birthday, Mum. I hope you enjoyed today.

Mrs. Bisola: Thank you, darling. It was such a great day. Thank you all for such a nice birthday party.

Mercy: I'm glad you enjoyed it, Mum. It was really great.

Mrs. Bisola: I enjoyed every bit of it. I just don't know how to express my gratitude to your father. He has done so much.

(While they still speak, Junior came to inform them that Dad has asked they get to the car so they could go home)

Junior: Mum! Mercy! Dad asked we get into the car we are running late already.

Mercy: Yes o, the party continues at home. We love you, mum and dad.

(They entered the car and zoom off)
