What we need to know about blood groups.
Accept Steem greetings from my humble self to you. Today I'll be sharing with you all something I grabbed from knowledge during my research inorder to find out if there's a problem with blood groups as far as marriage is concerned. Below I'll be defining some keys words that I'll be using inorder to elaborate more on my findings.
My today's topic is going to be based on blood(compatibility,blood groups,importance of knowing your blood group etc). I will beging by defining the word blood.
Blood is a transport medium that helps to move nutrients, oxygen and also aids in the transport of metabolic waste between cells of an organism.
It is made up of 3 components namely;
-Red blood cells (erythrocytes): which plays a role in transportation of oxygen from lungs to body tissues.
-White blood cells (leukocytes) : It is divided into three (monocytes, granulocytes and lymphocytes). They act as a medium of defense since they prevent the entry of pathogens to the body.
-Platelets :function in blood clotting process.
Types of blood
There are basically 4types of blood namely; A,B,AB and O which you inherit 1 each from your parents so as to determine your blood group. Below is a chart to show you the possible outcomes when two parents with different blood groups meet and produce an offspring there's a possibility that the offsprings will have the blood types listed in the chart below.
It is the ability of blood to function properly when in contact with any material so a to prevent a diverse result. There are a few groups that match together either during marriages, pregnancies,blood donations etc.
There are a few questions that people usually ask like
Is it advisable to know the blood group of your spouse before marriage?
I will answer this question by just showing a chart which compromise of the different compatible blood groups for marriage, pregnancy and blood donations.
The chart above shows the different groups that are compatible and not compatible for marriage.
So there's a high risk as for marriages with the blood groups that I mentioned above as not suitable for marriage cuz the child might end up suffering from deformities and crucial effects after birth.

Thanks so much for sharing bro its really important to know our blood groups, nowadays many people careless about it and they focused on money at the end no child or have complications then they start blaming grandmothers and aunts in the village. I really encourage you to do more of this and I wish to ask you this " what are real effects or outcomes to be specific if the blood that do not match ?" E.g. the effects of boyA and girl OB, and boyRh+ve and girlRh+ve can not be same what are they please ?
Thanks for taking time to go through my post I must say am overwhelmed. Now to your qtn for a cross btn Rh+ and Rh+ is not advisable bc if during her second pregnancy and the child turns out to be a Rh+ carrier then the child might eventually die bc the mother's Rh antibodies will see the Rh proteins on the baby's blood cells to be foreign so they will diffuse into the baby's blood stream and initiative an attack on the cells which causes the cells to swell and rupture releasing bilirubin which can destroy the babies brain cells leading to mental retardation,deafness etc.
