Greetings from me beloved friends, how has it been with you all? Glory to the maker, we have made it to another special new day. Let me say am so delighted to participate on this week engagement challenge that goes with an interesting topic " Emergency Care". Courtesy of @chant Steem Cameroon.

What is the situation in your country when it comes to emergency care?

First, Emergency Care is indeed called for concern. The management in my country, is very poor even after a lot of compliments by patients and the general public. Still, I must say, many have died a preventable death due to this same pay before treatment syndrome. The baseline complaint by health care providers is that some patients or the people doesn't pay after treating their immergency victims and sometimes the patient is even abandoned in their hands.

And indeed, like mentioned in this contest, immergency is unexpections where most people are helpless to pay for their treatment and sometimes, the victim/s might be brought to hospital by total strangers, who would only drop the victim in the hospital and go their separate ways and every expenses will fall back on the health care providers.

For instance, if road accident happen and maybe a total stranger is involved, whose identity was not in Discovery yet and the accident is such bad the patient lost consciousness or an orphan or someone whose relatives can't be reached in time of this incidence, it's bound to be a situation that captures the excuses of the health care providers as I discussed above.

But the bottom line remained that the equations need to balance because the health care providers, can not take all the blames following some difficulties in human management rather other measures should come in. Then where I blame the health care providers is how this no pay no treatment syndrome, has trained some of them so lousy and hardhearted that they no longer take human life anything infact, breaking the news "we lost him/her" is quicker in their mouth than urgent action at immergencies. Many have been lost to death where involved in an accident and the doctors were demanding for police report until the patient were unable to make it.

And another same situation here is also a complain by health care providers of non payment by the leading government, this case, instills more strange response by health workers towards their patients in that a dying patients could be brought to them, they can't feel any sorry to give first aid as long as their union have declared industrial action. Which is the Hight of it all.

What does it take to humanize healthcare delivery in your country.?

Yes, it takes the government, individuals and the concerned private bodies. But let me say it took these bodies to come in as an intermediary between the health care providers and the patients especially on emergency the subject matter.

In the recent time, many concerned groups and private organisations, the government, individuals have actually pushed in their plans that checks the plight of the people immergency health wise.

A plan has been put in place by the leading government, among other rescue missions, to assist people on an emergencies, ensure quick response, quick treatment, and more to any emergency patients.

Private organisations have also dedicated their time, effort and resources to work with health workers so that they will not hesitate to treat anyone on an emergency health condition.

Volunteered groups and individuals have also made their own contributions by visiting both private and public hospitals time to time to even financially, release and relief patients detained for non payment of hospital bills.

Additionally, the present government is trying her best to befriend health workers by ensuring that their dues are met and on time, with this, the health union will instruct their members to put more effort in saving the lives of the people instead of going on strike or industrial action.

Do you encourage or discourage the idea of payment before treatment?

Yes thank you, I can't encourage it as a must, payment before treatment as long as saving human life is concerned. At least, in all odd, first aid should be given to a patient on immergency health condition while other discussions and matters follows and indeed map out the strategy to balance and solve some situation between the patients and the health care providers so that no side would feel maltreated.

If you are appointed minister of public health in your country, how will you tackle this?

Yes everything, is by the way of observations, if many other health practitioners under my watch, has this complains of what they generalised of people's attitudes that most of them run a mile after treatment and myself haven gone such far of becoming the minister of public health the country, would have attested to some treatable situation of such, I must definitely, map out a strategy, like I mentioned above. This strategy would include public enlightenment about the situation, letting even the government be away and every other concerned bodies what we are passing through In terms o treatment and payment so that collectively, the problem will be fixed once and for all.

These are possible measures I can approach immediately to destroy such hardheartedness of moping at patients till death.

Advise Hospital directors, caregivers, and patients about this issue.

Yes thank you haven come across the complaints by the health care providers, I would advise them to give first aid to patients especially on emergency to prevent them from losing their life because many death are preventable.

And too, they should never keep and noture observable issues for themselves and placing some laws that adversely affect the populace. But get the leading government involved and any concerned groups and individuals so that collectively, the problem will be resolved once and for all.
