Greetings everyone. It is a privilege for me to take part in this Christmas contest. Hope you are all doing great.
Introduction
Growing up as a kid, I use to see Christmas as a time of having a new dress and new shoes for church service, eat rice and big chicken 😆 visit all uncles and aunties who will dash us money 🤣🤣🤣.
But, haven grown-up, my perspective about the event has changed, due to what I can call a transformation of the mind. To this effect, I choose the Christmas carols I listen to based on the message behind it.
What does Christmas 🎄 mean to you?
2yrs ago, our church drama ministry presented a Christmas drama titled: THE CROSS IN THE MANGER. The aim of this drama was to help people see and understand the meaning of Christmas. Christmas isn't mainly the time for reconciliation and forgiveness. It is a time for us to celebrate the birth of the saviour of the world. Christmas means the celebration of the promised redemption from the slave master called sin. In Luke 2:11-14

What’s your wish for this year’s Christmas?
Year in and year out, people have abused this period and that's one of the times sin has greatly increased. Well, my wish for this year's Christmas is not for good health, it's not for prosperity, it's not for lavish lifestyle and reckless spending, drunkenness, etc...... My wish is for the heart of men to be drawn to behold the reason for the season. That the heart of man will experience the divine visitation of God. That Jesus will be born and honored in our lives. No proper impact can take place without a transformation of the heart for that's where the issues of life come from.
How do you plan to spend this year’s Christmas?
This year's Christmas like last year, besides visiting family members and loved ones, I plan to pay a Christmas visit to the Regional Hospital to pray with and encourage patients to keep hoping and trusting in the Lord.
