Steem Cameroon - Steemit Engagement Challenge - Season 8 (Week 2) || Gender visibility and equality
Hello and welcome to my blog. It's really good to be here with you guys in this second week of the engagement challenge. The previous week's engagement contest was really amazing, as there were many good posts coming from different angles of the people living around the world, and I must say that this initiative is really awesome. And coming to this week's contest, I must say that it is really good, because in my country, women are not given rights in some aspects of life, like becoming the president, the governor, or even the senators, and I think this right should be strictly given to them because they are women and know how to take good care of children.
To make things happen, you must be a good example of that thing, so to make gender equality in my community, I will play a role in becoming a good example by associating with them and not thinking negatively. In order for us all to play a good role in making the world equal to everyone, we should remove some policies that have women's interests at their core, because here in my country, not everything is meant for women to do, such as ruling the country.
Since I was born and also through history, a human has never become a governor or a president, and many people think that it is the right thing to do, whereas they don't know that these beings are really blessed; they have human sympathy and can never pack money and firm for themselves. If they eventually become the leaders, things will be okay in my country, just like in Britain and other countries that have women as their leaders.
In conclusion, I will play a good role in achieving gender equality by simply telling and informing people how women will behave when they are given these rights to become leaders of every country, and I bet that some intimidation that has been seen or given to women will automatically stop.
Yes, I think celebrating Women's Day will increase visibility and equality because, when a day is declared a Women's Day, women will never feel alone and will be assured that they are also important in this world. This will inspire them to keep fighting for their rights and to keep loving and taking good care of their family.
On Women's Day, we are expected to celebrate every woman in our community. You can make them feel good by buying them some good presents, taking them out to have fun in a good and nice-looking restaurant, and even buying expensive things for them. With this act, they will never feel alone; rather, there will be peace amongst everyone.
First of all, I will like to bring justice to this by defining what feminism and women's rights are.
Feminism right fight is seen or defined as a movement that is normally done by a group of females to bring an end to sexism or any form of discrimination against the female gender.
On the other hand, I can say that the women's rights movement is seen as a movement also made by some group of women who want or fight for equality between the two genders.
I will conclude by saying the two things here are all the same: it is a situation where a group of people of the same gender fight for what's right for them and to bring a total end to any form of discrimination or the right to do what they want.
I can say that it will be a nice initiative if it can be put to work by the entire world. At some points, women should not be taken for granted; they should be given the rights that they deserve. They are humans and also living creatures, and they are the reason why everyone is born into this world, so we should respect them for who they are. They should be valued and cared for, and not made to feel alone in the world.
Some high position should be given to them to take care of, because they will also do to us what they do to their family, no woman will even want her family to be suffering or be in shame, they will sacrifice all they have to see that everything is okay in the family, so I think that some of these positions should be given to them, I have seen many countries that have women as their leaders, but still they are progressing and also living fine.
There is no good example here in my country, since women are not given these rights, but if I had the chance to become a senator, I would bring up these matters in the house, and then it would be considered and these rights would be given to them.
I think the right answer to these questions is merit; when you possess the expected qualities, you will be praised and the position you are occupying will never be taken from you, so I will say that gender alone will never make someone a good leader; rather, their capability and commitment to work will bring about merit, and they will be loved for the good things they have done for the people.
Giving women the rights they deserve will help put an end to some of the discrimination they do receive from the opposite gender, and I think it will be good if my country will one day try to practice it. I think they should give some important rights to the female gender, as this will make things better for everyone of us.
