Introduction

Hello greetings fellow friends, I trust y'all are doing great in this wanderfull community. I'm a graduate from the University of Bamenda with a Depet1 in Mechanical Engineering with option Mechanical Manufacturing so I will like to start sharing some of my ideas today about Mechanical Engineering.

INTRODUCTION

A group of Scientist began using mathematical expressions and formulas in other to design military fortification during 1500's because of the civil war that began that year and they became the first people to be called Engineers because of the special military architects they produce during that time .

In the 18th century, Mechanical Engineering became evident as a field when Industrial revolution began in Europe then during the 19th century, Mechanical Engineering Science had to be developed simply because of the the development of physics. Ever since then mechanical Engineering has really been advance up to present date and all mechanical Engineers today are going after mechanical Engineering developments such as mechatronics, nanotechnology composites and many other s

Mechanical Engineering is a branch of technology which deals with physics, mathematics and material science which engineers can combine this in order to analyze, design, produce, manufacture and maintain mechanical machineries. Mechanical Engineering field needs special understanding in applied mechanics, dynamic, structural analysis, thermodynamics, electricity and so many others and they can use engineering tools such as CAM(computer-aided-manufacturin), CAD(computer-aided-design) and the life cycle of product management so as to be able to design and manufacture things like industrial equipment, plants, machines, medical devices, war weapons, watercraft, robots, aircrafts, just to name a few

What Mechanical Engineering is looking forward to

1: Mechanical Engineering is looking forward in helping to support an increasing urban population of the entire universe that have been predicted to reach about 10 billion by 2050. So the work of mechanical Engineering is to help the entire population to have a good shelter, clean and fresh water

2: Mechanical Engineering is looking forward in creating more adequate environment for people to be able to play, work and learn in a more advanced way

3: Mechanical Engineering is looking forward in developing more and new forms of renewable energy and also helping in the medical field to ensure and improve the health conditions of individuals by producing more effective drugs use for medical treatments

4: Mechanical Engineering is looking forward in designing new and powerful ways for individuals to be able to create, store and use information by making the world more advanced in the computing field

5: Mechanical Engineering is looking forward in making our homes to be more beautified and comfortable by producing appliances such as lighting system, alarms, electric cookers, heaters, irons that will make us live more comfortable in our homes

Conclusion

I will end here for today then will be talking more about my journey in the field of Mechanical Engineering in my next post and I will be focusing more on engineering drawing which is a very important aspect in the field of mechanical engineering.

Thanks for your time guys

Good write up here man. But my question is I don't know why you people graduate and fold the knowledge under your pillows because if you look at the town of bamenda, there is no water, no energy interms of electricity but everyday engineers are graduating in the university of bamenda. We need to make use of our knowledge what is happening. We need innovators to invent new method of doing things, at least to challenge the old school or does it mean they were better than us.

Great question my dear. But I'm sorry to say engineering and technology requires a lot of income to be able to do something that can benefit an entire economy. So that is why you see European countries and other developed countries reaching where they are today because of their governmental support.

Here in Africa or in Cameroon to be specific, you see how creative some people are but what did the government do in other to use the creativity out of those intellectuals??? So my dear this country you see today is rule by the government and they don't want to support us the Engineers and intellectuals financially so that we can be able to utilize our knowledge and do something that will benefit the entire economy

Great article. the world is evolving and technology is highly required

Exactly my brother, I pray some of us engineers should be able to develop this world in one way or the other

Good content @chaibertrand, at your level what can you invent or produce that can benefit even your house? Not to talk of the community
