Engagement Challenge for Newcomers: Crushing Your Goals on Steemit // Week 3
Steem greetings all the way from the motherland-Cameroon to fellow Steemitians. It is yet another awesome week on the Steemit platform and I will use this opportunity to thank 🤗 all newcomers actively participating in the challenge and I encourage you all to continue with the same energy for the week 3. Special encouragement to @jubil12, @herryxyz and @michael06 for actively participating in week 2 challenge and keep the energy high for the upcoming weeks.
The purpose of this challenge is to boost engagement among newcomers because we realised that most of them hardly even reply to comments on their posts.
I believe that in every journey of life, for one to succeed you got to set achievable goals. What do I mean by “achievable goals”? Of course, you don’t just set goals for a setting sake but set goals that you work towards attaining the said goals.
Creating an account on Steemit is a start of a journey and to succeed on this journey you got to set goals. Some of which I set for myself was to reach 10,000SP in 2 years and reach a reputation of 70.
Nonetheless, setting goals means you got to work hard in order to achieve the goals and the following technicalities were of great help.
Firstly, actively posting quality content. The quality of your content should not only be limited to writing, presentation counts a lot. To make your content presentable means you got to master your markdown styles to apply to your content.
Secondly, what is the essence for you to drop a post and disappear till another day. I always say “we grow by uplifting others”. If you cannot uplift another person, then do not expect uplifting from another person. What do I mean here? You grow on Steemit by building an audience via engagement. Engaging meaningful comments and not just short sentences like “wow you had a nice day”. This is not meaningful engagement. Short and un-meaningful comments does not trigger the content creator to respond.
Thirdly, consistency counts a lot on Steemit. You need to stay consistent in your engagement and posting quality content. This way, you build an audience for your content and attract support.
For week 3 of the challenge, the rules still stand and we want newbies to master these little technicalities and believe me, in less than no time, you will definitely get good results.
Week 1 has come and gone and only 5 newbies were actively posting though not daily. Amongst the 5, just 2 were actively engaged with commenting. I will like to remind all the participants to pay attention to the rules of the contest. Remember your participation might also gain extra delegation from the steem -cameroon community account.
For week 2, engagement was still not so good as only four newbies were actively engaging with meaningful comments. One of the newbies was using the wrong tag for the challenge. I often said, pay attention to the rules, that is what makes you different from those who are in a haste to drop a post or comment and go offline.
